“Tell me again why you want to risk your life and go back there?” Hunter asked.

Lilianna sighed “I’m curious to find out what the bookie wants. Herbert has never come across as a bad guy.”

“What if he’s already told Sammy and this is just a trap to get you back to Winston?”

“I don’t think Herbert has any love for Sammy.”

“Still, it’s dangerous,” Hunter said.

“I understand that, but I also want to pick up the box I left behind with my landlady, especially now. The other thing is that I don’t want anyone else to come after you. The fire was a big warning. Personally, I don’t hold out hope that anyone will ever be caught. And there will be nothing connecting Sammy or any of his men to it. If I don’t resolve this and he continues, the next time someone could get hurt.”

“I’m not afraid of that douche bag.” Truthfully, Hunter wasn’t afraid of anyone. Dylan respected the fact that he’d once been quite a badass. And still was.

Meanwhile, her eyes widened at the defamatory reference. “Don’t let him hear you say that. He’s bad through and through.”

Hunter rolled his eyes without concern, then pegged her with a serious look and added, “If you’re going back home, one or both of us is going with you. No question. No argument. No compromise.”

Lilianna opened her mouth to respond, then perhaps thought better of it after seeing the determined expression on Hunter’s face. After several moments, she said, “That would be very nice of you.”

“I’m not really that nice, you know.”

“You are to me.”

“Well, maybe I like you a little bit better than the average girl on the street.”

She got a wistful look on her face. One that surprised Dylan. She looked like a woman in love. Suddenly, that look shifted to him.

He almost said the words out loud, “I love you, Lilianna,” but swallowed hard instead to keep from speaking.

The harsh lesson of his first marriage was never far out of his thoughts. While Lilianna made him want to forget all of it, the lingering hurt kept him silent. At least for now.

“We’ll both go back with you,” he finally said. “I don’t want to miss anything.”

“Herbert gave me a week. I was thinking about going back tomorrow to get it over with.”

Hunter shook his head. “No. A better strategy is to wait. We’ll go in three or four days. I don’t want him to expect us on a particular day. Right away, like tomorrow, is too soon. Also waiting until the very last day is too long.”

“I agree with Hunter.” Dylan felt like it was a sound plan. “Meanwhile what shall we do with the rest of our afternoon and the next three or four days?”

“Fuck like bunnies? Against the wall or in a bed, lady’s choice,” Hunter offered.

Lilianna smiled. “We could discuss double penetration sex again. When will that happen, do you think?”

* * * *

Hunter was ready for the double penetration sex to begin right away, but his stomach rumbled all of a sudden, signaling that a meal was going to be needed before he could continue.

Lilianna said, “I’m hungry, too. Who’s cooking?”

Dylan kissed her cheek, lifted off of the bed slowly, and said, “I’ll do it.”

“I can help you,” she offered.

Hunter sent him a look. He wanted to put a large butt plug inside of her ass and prepare her for the double penetration sex he wanted.

“That’s okay,” Dylan said. “I think Hunter already has plans for you. I’ll cook tonight, and call you when it’s ready.”

Dylan walked out whistling a tune.

Lilianna turned to him. “Will you tell me what you’re going to do before you do it?”

“Yes, but first I want to take you down to the playroom.”

She nodded and together they went to a large room at the back of the house on the first floor.

Lilianna was wearing his T-shirt again and nothing else, but he planned to put her in something new. Perhaps something leather.

Once ensconced in the room, Hunter went to a wardrobe and pulled out a button-up, black, leather corset with laces in the back. She grinned when she saw it, peeled off his gray T-shirt when he approached, and allowed him to lace her into it.
