Garrett smiled against her back. He’d never in his life wanted to say the words “I love you” to anyone more than he did in this moment.

Chapter Six

Jessica woke before dawn face down in the center of the huge king bed, under the covers, with two magnificent men still fast asleep on either side of her. She took a moment to assess the different muscles in her body that were shouting to her about all the wicked and wonderful things she’d done the night before.

She flexed her ankle, the one she’d hurt last night, but didn’t even feel a twinge. Over all, she felt good. She didn’t bother trying to wipe the silly grin off of her face either. Total waste of time anyway.

As she did each morning before exiting her bed, Jessica made a mental list of all the things she needed to do today. First up, shower. Get dressed. Get some breakfast. Then get directions from her phone to head to Old West Town for her late morning interview.

She was supposed to go to the ticket office building and give them her name. They would give her instructions on where the interviews were being conducted along with a special pass to get inside the amusement park.

Her interview was with a man named Mr. Bishop. Jessica wanted be so impressive that she’d knock his socks off and get this job immediately. She could dream. In fact, they’d promised to let her know by the end of the day if she was still in the running. Also why she’d secured the bridal suite for three nights, hoping this job would be hers. She truly wanted it.

Her former boss had given her the tip to apply for this private project. He’d also sent a recommendation to the hiring manager so she’d be assured to get at least an interview, although she hadn’t expected it.

Mr. Barrington had also graciously offered to tell them she’d been let go due to downsizing, and not the real reason that her ex-fiancé was a douchebag, gold-digging prick. Again, it was nice of him, but her feelings were uneven where her former boss was concerned.

After ten years together, she’d sort of expected him to stand up for her more, and not push her out, making it sound like it was for her own good. Although, it wasn’t like she’d wanted to stay there and work alongside her ex-fiancé.

Regardless, it was all water under the bridge. Or perhaps that boat had already sailed. Whatever analogy best fit, she truly hoped she got this new job. She needed a new direction. A new place to start over. A new job to help her get her bearings on this new path she’d been thrust on unexpectedly.

Now that she’d met two amazing men who filled her soul with joy like no others ever had, she truly wanted to stay in this area. But that would depend on whether today’s interview turned into a job offer or not.

She opened her eyes, realizing it was later than she’d first thought, and a glance at the bedside clock made her sit upright. It was time to get ready. The two men she shared the bed with looked so peaceful. It was odd waking up with others in her bed, but she liked it.

Not wanting to wake them, Jessica managed to wiggle carefully out from under the sheets without either of them stirring, which was probably a miracle. She showered, and got dressed, returning to the bedroom area without either of them having moved a single muscle.

The rest of her life was packed in the car’s heavily loaded trunk, she’d only brought her overnight bag into the room. Since it was now filled only with dirty clothes from yesterday, she tossed it into the backseat of her car. She’d rummage around in the trunk for more clothing later on this evening.

With one last look at the two men who’d brought her more pleasure than she’d ever expected in this lifetime, it was difficult to leave without waking them up to at least say, “thank you”, but she wanted the memory to remain unblemished.

Jessica didn’t want to endure any uncomfortable or awkward small talk if they’d had their fill. If they decided last night was all they wanted from her, she’d be terribly sad, but still grateful for the eye-opening experience.

If they wanted more, she’d be willing. Especially if she got this new job and stayed in town. She’d let them come back to her. They knew where she lived, if they wanted to see her again.

She blew them each a silent kiss and quietly exited the bridal suite. Maybe they’d brought her good luck and she’d sail through the interview, securing this job before dinner tonight.
