“You aren’t fooling anyone. I know who you are,” said a low, sinister-sounding voice. “You’re gonna get what’s coming to you.” The tone was almost a whisper. She couldn’t even tell whether it was a man or woman speaking.

“Who is this?” Is it the stalker with the cough? Her heart started thumping wildly in her chest. There was another long silence, and then she heard a loud click and the phone went dead. So odd.

She reached out to dial the phone, and realized she didn’t have anyone to call.

Warrick? No. Too soon to be a needy female.

Colton? No. Same reason.

The local police? Maybe. Maybe not. It was a phone call. Perhaps it was simply a prank call. But it didn’t feel like a prank call.

She sort of knew Duke Stanton, the Enclave sheriff, but not really well. She put the phone back down.

Isabelle waffled between wanting to tell someone in authority or pretending it never happened. Perhaps she’d have a chat with Duke if she saw him and discuss what her options were. Or better yet, if it happened again, she’d talk to Gray and Jessica.

She hoped it wouldn’t happen again. And if it did, perhaps she’d entertain the idea of mentioning it to Warrick and Colton. She’d be blasé about it, like it wasn’t a big deal one way or the other and see if they were worried. Plus, she did want to see them again. She couldn’t wait for tomorrow night.

Decision made to visit one last time with two men who made her soul sing, Isabelle spent the next several hours at work alternating between thinking of how devastated she’d be once this awesome relationship ended and whether they’d miss her at all.

What if the only permanent fixture remaining in her life was the possible stalker dogging her heels? At least until he caught up to her and did whatever was coming to her. Unease crowded her mind for a little while until she got into the rhythm of her work routine and let it slip away.

After dropping Isabelle off at her home before heading for work, Warrick spent the next several hours reliving their good-bye kiss. He patted himself on the back for going ten whole minutes at a time before thinking about her, only to then relive the night before in all its surprising and unexpected glory.

She’d readied herself for them. She also went several rounds with them, never balking at what they wanted to do sexually. She understood their unusual ménage lifestyle and made certain their first night was unforgettable.

Warrick had never before been so touched, so emotional, or so excited about having a new woman in their lives. For however long this lasted, Warrick would enjoy it and this already unexpectedly poignant relationship.

Perhaps he needed to keep his guard up where his heart was concerned. That made him smile.

Colton had called to let him know Isabelle was working tonight, but that they were meeting tomorrow night back at his house for a barbeque. His friend promised to do all the cooking. Fine with him. He’d suggested they also invite a few friends over to make a party of it, but Warrick told him not to. He wanted Isabelle all to themselves.

At least he wasn’t in court today trying to pay attention to the monotony of defense lawyers trying to get away with shit for their whiney-ass clients. Warrick loved being a prosecutor. Given that he was undefeated, it was obvious this profession worked well for him.

Today he was simply at his desk pushing paper around, unable to concentrate on his mental to-do list. At the end of the day he was incapable of keeping away from Old West Town. He drove over after leaving his office early.

Like a moth drawn to a flame, Warrick was drawn to Isabelle.

Although he didn’t participate in the day-to-day dealings, festivities, or running of the town, he was a full-fledged owner. And also why he enjoyed living in a huge residence behind the compound walls.

He parked his car in the employees’ lot, but then he headed into the hotel’s lobby through the front door. Better to announce himself through proper channels, in case she was having a hectic night.

If she wasn’t too busy though, he planned to steal a kiss—or seventeen of them—until tomorrow night when full-blown sex and ménage fun would rain down on the three of them, and satisfy his seemingly unquenchable ardor.

Warrick strolled through the Old West Town hotel’s front doors, and he saw Isabelle immediately. Her back was turned to him, but her hair color was unmistakable from likely even a thousand yards. He slowed his step, lingering next to a large wooden post to watch her interact with the other employee.

She was animated, explaining something to the front desk clerk using her hands, and she was also completely adorable. Warrick leaned a shoulder against the post to wait until she finished before intruding on her night. This was once again an unexpected call. A habit he realized he’d come to enjoy. But the more he watched her, the more he couldn’t wait to talk to her, to touch her, to kiss her. He’d never done this with any other date in his past. He’d never felt anywhere close to this level of desire for another woman.
