“Maybe we should,” Gunner remarked casually. He stood, arms crossed over his bare chest.

“Yeah,” Brody added as if in afterthought. “This shit is not working for me anymore. Let’s cut our losses. I’ll move to Switzerland like I always talked about. Hudson, you can keep the apartment in Florida. Gunner, do whatever the fuck you want. Just don’t follow me.”

“Or me,” I snarled. “I don’t want either of you to be anywhere near me.”

After six months of hell, I was ready for some peace.

“You’re right, man. This should—”

A sharp rap sounded on the door.

“Who is it?” Brody growled. “We’re busy.”

Then, as though our prayers had been answered, a small, familiar voice spoke. “It’s me. Kate.”

Our eyes widened in unison.

“Is that—is it—” Brody stammered.

“It’s her,” Gunner nodded, hurrying towards the door. He unlocked it and opened it. I thought the drummer was going to greet her but he was too lost for words, just like the rest of us.

“Hi,” the beautiful brunette whispered. “Did I come at a bad time?”

Our former assistant looked incredible, wearing black high heels and a low-cut dress in red. I didn’t even like red, but on her, it was beautiful.

“Hey,” Brody growled, blue eyes eating her up even as confusion reigned. “What’s going on?”

Because Kate was even more beautiful now. So why was she here? The curvy girl had gotten even heavier, every bit of her luscious enough to bite and lick all over.

My eyes moved hungrily over her form and I saw Gunner and Brody do the same thing.

The dress on her was tighter than she intended. It hugged her in all the right places. Giant tits swelled creamily, and it flowed over her bigger belly, luscious thighs and ass. Still, I could see where skin met the fabric. My eyes were wide with wonder.

“Kate?” Gunner said her name like it wasn’t obvious.

Hands propped on her thick hips, she stared at all of us with challenge in her pretty brown eyes.

“Hello,” she said dulcetly. “May I come in?”

The three of us were silent, but at least Gunner opened the door wider, letting her pass. She waltzed in, swaying those hips as if in a tropical breeze before arranging herself prettily on the hotel sofa.

Oh god, oh god. What was happening? This girl had to get out now. She was a lamb in a lair of wolves, and deserved better than to be ravaged by three beasts.

But Kate had a purpose. Fixing us with determined eyes, the girl spoke then, her voice unwavering.

“I’m here because I’m pregnant,” she announced. “This is your child,” she said, cupping her hands around her belly. “I wanted to let you know.”

The three of us stood around in shock. What in the world? How could this have happened? Because Helena was supposed to make sure that all the girls were on birth control. Had the pill failed somehow? What in the world had happened?

“How?” Brody grunted, eyes fierce. “Why?”

Kate looked back at us evenly.

“You know why,” she said in a husky voice. “We never used protection and all three of you came in me multiple times. Again and again,” her voice stressed.

My mouth opened but then snapped shut. She was right. We’d never once bothered to use a condom, and the pill is only 99% effective. Maybe we’d been in that one percent of accidents.

But Kate turned challenging eyes to us then.

“So, what are you going to do now that you know I’m having a child?”

I wasn’t sure what to say, to be honest. Fall to our knees and thank her for coming back to us? Bury our faces the carpet while begging her to stay?

So I was careful.

“Sweetheart, I think the better question is, what do you want? After all, this is new to us.”

“It’s new to me too,” she shot back sassily, eyes flashing. “I’ve never been pregnant before.”

Brody nodded slowly, holding both hands up.

“Of course,” he rumbled soothingly. “Of course not. But we want what’s best for you.”

At that, Kate stood angrily, hands on hips while shooting us death glares.

“Oh really?” she asked sarcastically. “So why did you clear out of the hotel room without a goodbye? Leaving me like a dirty groupie who meant nothing to you? Letting Helena,” she spat, “do your dirty work.”

The three of us exchanged shamed glances because everything Kate was saying was true. But there was a reason for it.

“Sweetheart,” I began again.

“Don’t sweetheart me,” she spat once more. “Don’t even try it.”

I nodded thoughtfully.

“Honey, I mean, Kate,” came my apologetic voice. “We did what we did for a very specific reason. And it had nothing to do with your pregnancy. If we’d known you were having our child, there’s no way we would have left.”

The brunette waited, hands on her hips, chin determined.

“And?”

“Well,” drawled Gunner slowly. “We did what we did because we wanted what’s best for you. To have a normal life with a husband who adores you and dozens of kids in the backyard. You can’t have that with us,” he said, gesturing to the luggage strewn around the hotel room, the obvious signs of constant travel. “We’re rock stars, and we jet around the world constantly. You deserve more than that.”
