“Quinn, I’m…fuck, Quinn. Coming!” Hands tried to pull him off in warning, but Quinn wanted everything Shane had to give. Warm ejaculate hit his throat. Quinn kept moving his head as Shane bucked and came. And came. It was so fucking hot, Quinn groaned around it all, his fingers moving to hold tight to Shane’s hips. Then he couldn’t wait. He reached down and opened his jeans and grabbed his dick.

“Let me,” Shane breathed, his words broken and clipped. He leaned over, his face going into Quinn’s neck as he reached out his hand.

“No time,” Quinn panted.

But Shane wrapped those long fingers around him and squeezed, and Quinn’s yell bounced off the rooftops as he came all over Shane’s hand, his jeans, and the deck beneath his knees. Shudders wracked his body and he wrapped his arms around Shane and held on as he rode out another fantastic orgasm. Shane rested his lips on Quinn’s neck, sliding his now wet hand one more time over Quinn’s dick. He jerked, sensitive, and the raspy chuckle against his throat made him do the oddest thing.

He grasped Shane’s head and pulled him back gently so he could press a long, close-mouthed kiss on his lips. Shane kissed him back, his legs on either side of Quinn before he stopped the kiss and rested his forehead on Quinn’s.

“Damn, Lake. Damn.”Shane couldn’t take his eyes off the sleepy Quinn. He’d been ready to leave, and they’d ended up talking in his living room for hours. He’d learned that Quinn had grown up in the area with just his mother after his father died and now Quinn was telling him about getting into trouble in his teens when he’d hacked into the Federal Reserve.

“Seriously?” His shock was like a punch to the gut.

Quinn opened both eyes to peer hard at him. “I didn’t know anyone could thread so much derision into one word.”

“It’s not derision, it’s surprise. For several reasons.” He held up a finger. “One, you were just a kid and that’s pretty impressive—even if it is criminal. And two,” he held up another. “I’m surprised Rowe didn’t have an issue with it.”

“Rowe? Have an issue with something illegal?” Quinn snorted and closed his eyes again, then grunted when Norma Jean landed on his chest. She settled in and tucked her nose into his throat. It didn’t seem to be bothering Quinn, so Shane didn’t shoo her away. Quinn stroked a hand down her back and she stretched and preened, then passed out, causing Quinn to chuckle softly. Apparently, he had a magic touch when it came to Shane’s fickle cat.

She usually stayed hidden when he had guests, but she’d ventured out and spent the last hour inching closer to Quinn little by little until he’d given her a smile that made Shane’s belly flip-flop. Now, she was letting out tiny snores while she slept.

Quinn wasn’t far behind her. He slowly ran his hand down her back and Shane could hear her purring from his place near Quinn’s feet. He placed his hand on Quinn’s bare ankle where his jeans had ridden up. Pretty blue eyes focused on him from behind black-rimmed glasses, and he smiled from his spot in the corner of the L-shaped couch, his head rolling on the cushion.

“Rowe is aboveboard, if you’re worried. He wouldn’t have hired me if he thought I’d abuse my position there.”

He snorted. “Rowe is anything but aboveboard, so don’t try to spin that web of lies.”

“Yeah, but he’s like Robin Hood, breaking the law to help those in need.” The slow grin on Quinn’s face made Shane’s dick stir. “Just so you know…I don’t do anything like that anymore,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “You don’t have to worry.”

“I’m not.” Shane tightened his fingers on Quinn’s ankle and let his own fatigue pull him in a little. It felt good to just lie there with Quinn and that surprised him. He didn’t feel the urge to talk or get up. Didn’t feel like he should be blowing his mind with sex—though Quinn had already done that to him earlier. Warmth buzzed in his chest at the memory, and he kind of wished he wasn’t so tired so they could go for round two. He didn’t know how much time passed when the leg under his hand moved.

“I should go,” Quinn whispered. “Let you get some sleep.”

“Or you could stay here tonight.” The offer surprised him, but he meant it. He didn’t want the man to leave. “Where do you live?”

“In a tiny apartment on the west side. But I sleep at the Ward office a lot.” He blinked. “I must be more tired than I realized, because I don’t usually share that.”

Shane stroked his fingers over warm skin and soft hair. “Why?”

Quinn shrugged, then winced when Norma Jean dug her claws into his shirt and probably his chest. He petted her head and she closed her eyes and settled back down against him. “I have two roommates who act like they’re still in college, so a lot of people come and go. It’s noisy. And I like it at Ward.”
