I laughed. I liked her. "It's fine. I know about Jace and his past." I winked. "I have access to Google."

She laughed, but there was still a strain of nervousness in it. "Oh, good ol' Google."

"Although I wouldn't call us an item." I shrugged, taking in my surroundings. This was so much more like Jace. It must have been redone. "I don't really know what we are."

"I know this much," she said honestly, sternly. "You mean something to that man. In all my years, he's never had a woman apart from his mother and sister up here."

"Really?"

"Really." She nodded. "That man doesn't trust anyone. He won't even get himself a personal assistant. He says he'd rather do it all himself." She shook her head. "Ridiculous."

I nodded. "That is." It was a huge company. How on earth was he doing it without a personal assistant?

"I mean, I help him when I can, but I got a good enough load on my plate and I got kids too. So I can't have my whole life revolving around this place the way he does, you know?"

"You have kids?" I asked as she stopped outside smoked glass double doors.

"I do." She nodded proudly. "Well, you'd better go on in. He's waited long enough for you to get here."

"He's impatient." I scowled as I pulled on the handle. I half expected to find it locked, but it wasn't. By the time I walked in and closed the door, Laura was gone.

I turned around to find myself in a dark, tastefully decorated office. It was enormous. My eyes went right to the desk across the room where Jace was sitting in a large leather black chair. His blue eyes were on me and I couldn't force myself to look away. Despite all the intricately designed furniture adorning he space, I could only look at him. I was hypnotized.

Without thinking, I moved across the room. My body was so connected to his, I felt him in the air around me. It was charged with some type of electricity that existed only between us. I could taste it. It was decadent. My tongue watered and my body sizzled with awareness. I felt my core ache for him without his touch eliciting the desire and I shifted, willing away the growing ache in my thighs.

Jace held a phone to his ear, but his attention was on me. Did he know what he did to me with just the power in his gaze? Did he know he made me melt inside? Did he know his scent caused my senses to stretch from hibernation until I was walking on overdrive, completely over-sensitized.

He gestured with a nod of his head to one of the chairs sitting across from his desk, but I didn't want to sit. Not in the chair at least. No, I wanted him. Rough. Consuming. Possessive. I wanted him to claim my mind, my body, my soul. I wanted to show him I wasn't going anywhere. I wanted him to know he didn't have to have me packaged and delivered to him every time I didn't reply to a text message. I wanted him confident in our relationship…yes I wanted a relationship with Jace Rush. However untamable he was, I would never stop loving him. It just wasn't possible. He owned me. Heart and soul.

I scanned his office before walking back to the door. I felt Jace's eyes on me and as I walked away from him the energy in the room thickened. Anxiety? Did he think I was leaving?

I reached out to the door and made sure it was locked before turning back to him. His body sagged in visible relief as he tried to focus his attention to the speaker on the phone. He said something about splitting the sectors before I tuned him out. I kicked off my heels before taking a few steps closer to his desk. Everything in the office was rich and dark. It was completely Jace. My man was haunted. The windows behind him were enormous, covering the expanse of the wall. I wondered if people in the buildings around his could see into his office. But then I shrugged off the thought. My hands found the hem of my dress and I pulled it up slowly over my head. I shook my hair down around my shoulders and dropped the material to the floor.

Standing clad in my underwear and thigh-highs, the desire in Jace's blue eyes was scorching hot. I felt his eyes scan the length of my body and shivered under the heat. I wanted him to touch me. I knew I was torturing him. I knew this phone call was important, but he wanted me here, and here I was.

Slowly, I walked toward him. The stockings on my feet allowed me to slide against the smooth floor. I moved my hips, walking with a seductresses sway. His eyes were narrowed on me. When I reached his desk, it took all I had not to jump him. I burned to touch him. I ached to pull him into me, to throw his phone to the floor and forget about the caller, but I knew I couldn't. Besides, this was fun. I could see I was tormenting him. He wanted to ravish me as much as I wanted him to.

Slowly, I moved around his desk to where he sat. I lifted myself onto the surface in front of him, pushing his laptop to the side. His eyes were locked on my body, taking in every miniscule movement. I placed the bottoms of my feet on the armrests of the chair, spreading my legs wide. His eyes dropped between my legs and he swallowed, his Adam's apple bouncing. Without reservation, I reached for his free hand and pulled it toward me. I throbbed in anticipation of his touch even though I was the one guiding his hand to me. I pressed his fingers to the tip of my sex, slowly dragging them down over the lace of my panties. They were wet. Already.
