Half of me is raptured by this man’s words. The other half of my head - the rational side - just realized that Sir Gerald has just spilled the beans on his next acquisition. He said he visited the mine last night. All Mr. Peak has to do is check out Sir Gerald’s flight records and he will know the location of that mine.

I smile. Sir Gerald misinterprets that smile as something sexual. He moves towards me. Now, I am trying my best to get out of this situation. That’s not to say I am not attracted to this big hulking, rugged Aussie. It’s just that my mission is done. Now, I need to get to Mr. Peak as soon as possible.

“You are moving too fast for me, Sir Gerald,” I tell him.

The Aussie moves back into his chair. His eyes are still locked with mine. “Your beauty is almost beyond my ability to control myself. Can’t I just see your body before I go.”

Oh f**k. What do I do? Perhaps if I disrobe, Sir Gerald will leave. Or perhaps that will entice him to pursue me further. Before my mind can come to a rational decision, my fingers begin to move towards my robe.

I slowly untie the knot on my robe. My hands gradually open the robe and drop it to the ground. I am nak**ed. Sir Gerald shifts in his seat. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cigar. He lights it. “Wow,” he says.

After the Aussie billionaire takes a puff from his cigar, he simply smiles. It’s as though he has already won. Perhaps this is all Sir Gerald wanted. The man simply wanted the satisfaction of seeing Mr. Peak’s girl nak**ed.

The big Aussie stands up and pulls the chair back in its place. “Mr. Peak is a lucky man,” he says as he moves towards me. I pull my arms over my chest and move back towards the wall. ,“When you are ready for an upgrade, you know where to find me,” the man says in a hushed voice. With that, Sir Gerald exits the room, leaving a trail of cuban cigar smoke behind him. I exhale deeply and fall to the floor. My heart has never beat so hard in my life.

I put my robe on and walk to the bath and drink some water. I need to tell Mr. Peak the information as soon as possible. Should I call him? No, I have to find him and tell him face to face.

I get dressed and leave my room. The house is dark save for some ambient lighting along the walls of the sprawling estate. I walk around the place, trying to figure out exactly where my boss is staying for the evening.

As I make a turn onto another wing of the home, I hear some classical music playing through a door. For some reason, that type of music just seems too refined for someone like Sir Gerald. Mr. Peak, however, seems to be a fan of timeless precision. I take a chance and knock.

The music goes off. Silence. Am I making a mistake here? What if I am knocking on Sir Gerald’s master bedroom. How will he interpret my knock?

The door opens. I come face to face with my boss’s massive chest. I look up and smile. “It looks like you have something to tell me,” Mr. Peak says. I slip inside of his bedroom and put my finger up to my lips. Mr. Peak turns the classical music back on and leads me into his suite’s bathroom. My boss turns on the shower and huddles up next to me near the bathroom sink.

“Sir Gerald said that he had just visited the mine yesterday. All we have to do...”

“..is get his flight records,” Mr. Peak says with a smile as he completes my sentence for me. My boss walks back into the bedroom and grabs his phone. I am so giddy that I jump up and down.

Mr. Peak dials his phone as he stalks around the bathroom. “Liam, this is Peak. I need you to trace the flight records of Sir Gerald from the past 24 hours,” my boss barks as he glues the phone to his ears. There is about twenty seconds of silence. “Yeah Liam,” Mr. Peak says as he listens to the response on the other side of the line. “He flew out of Yellowknife?! Wow. He’s going to buy Northwest Gold. Alright, start buying the stock on our offshore accounts. Be discreet. We don’t want to get the word out just yet. Thanks Liam. Have a nice weekend.” My boss turns off his phone. He looks at me for a minute, then he walks over and lifts me up off of my feet. He kisses me on my chest. “Good job little Sarah. Now, go to bed.”

My head spins. I skip back to my room and hop into bed. There’s just one problem. I can’t fall asleep. All of this excitement is driving my body batty. I turn to my side and listen to the ocean surf crashing into the sand just one hundred feet from my beach. It’s enough to rock me to a gentle sleep.

The next morning, we tour the island in a fleet of Maybachs. Mr. Peak keeps up the charade of looking at beachfront property. Sir Gerald spends more time looking at me. It’s awkward. I try to avoid eye contact with him. Dammit. I’m afraid that big Aussie will find out the truth before we get off the island.
