“I-I don’t...I…what are you doing here, Dun?” She finally gets out of her mouth, shifting from foot to foot.
“Ask me a serious fucking question, Lani. Did you think you would run from me and I wouldn't go to the end of the earth to find you? Who the hell do you think I am?'' Well apparently, that was the wrong question to ask. Her face begins to turn beet red as her voice starts to bluster.
“I think you are the type of man that would sleep with a woman for a month, sell her dreams and fantasies all the while having a fiancée waiting for you. That’s who the hell I think you are.” So fucking cute with her arms crossed. Tired of the fucking games, I push her up against the door with my hands around her neck so she knows I mean business.
“Since you don’t want to answer, what do you say I just bang on the fucking door until someone answers.” my fist in the air prepared to do just that, when her hand finally touches me and time once again stops, in the best way possible. Her fingers on my wrist, once again awakens me.
“Don’t,” she says, removing her fingers from my wrist like it burns.
“Why shouldn’t I? He means something to you?” The anger in my voice grows as my fight or flight kicks in. Only there is no flight. Oh, hell no… I am all for fighting for her.
“Doesn’t matter who he is, as long as he isn’t you,” she says, her voice resolute and unwavering. Pushing further into her, I am about to rip her purse from her fingers and snatch the key out of it myself when I feel it. I feel the only thing besides losing her, that could bring me to my knees. A slight flutter in between us, encased in something hard, yet soft and round. Not trusting myself to speak, I leave one hand on her neck as the other travels down the front of her, toward the dream, that by the look of panic on her face, is more than a reality. My hand lays across it and, in a flash, everything changes. Needing no confirmation from her, I can feel a piece of me growing inside of her and now...all bets are off.
