He laughs, pulling me closer. “We could elope.”
“Your sister would kill us.”
“Worth it.” His hand slides under my shirt. “Especially if it means getting to the honeymoon faster.”
“Logan...” But I’m already turning into his kiss.
“Practice makes perfect,” he murmurs against my lips.
“We don’t need practice.”
“You know what I mean, baby.”
And as his accent thickens with desire, I think about how sometimes the best endings aren’t endings at all.
