Our eyes locked and I sucked on her swollen nub. She was so much better than fucking alcohol. “You’re my addiction,” my voice vibrated against her, “I can’t get enough of you.”

I stared up at her while my tongue worked its magic. She gripped my scalp as I licked her entrance. “It’s okay, baby,” I reassured her when I hit the tight wall of muscle.

I latched onto her clit again, putting pressure and biting it so ravenously she began to spasm. Her mouth dropped into an O, and she moaned her orgasm so beautifully I wanted to write the sound into a song.

“Pierce,” she sucked in a breath. “That was beyond amazing.”

I couldn’t resist a cocky smirk. I smoothed the wet tresses back from her heart-shaped face and pressed a kiss to her forehead.

Still smirking, I reached up, turned off the tap and helped her to her feet. We dried each other with fluffy white towels, before putting on the cotton bath robes that came with our suite. Hayley blowed our hair, and I made my way across the carpet to the bed.

“Just a minute,” she said, going over to where she’d left her handbag. Warmth lit her eyes. “While you and the band were rehearsing this morning, I didn’t stay in the hotel like I told ya.”

My heartrate picked up. What the fuck?!

“Camila and I hit the shops.” Her voice wavered. “I don’t need to be so cheap now I no longer have to top up Dad’s nursing home expenses. And he left me enough money to cover the funeral costs.” She rummaged around and retrieved a small gift bag. Catching her lip between her teeth, she handed it to me. “I hope you like it.”

“Wow. You got me a present?” With shaky hands I extracted a solid silver chain with a round amulet hanging off it.

“You can get it inscribed when we return to LA,” she blushed.

I slipped it over my head. “It’s perfect. Thank you. I’ll have your name etched onto it.” I pulled her in for a hug.

God how I loved her. Should I tell her? I wanted to, but something stopped me. Maybe I was confusing love with addiction? I’d gone through so many addictions in my life. Street gangs. Knife crime. Mr. Phillips’ influence. Tranquilizers after he was murdered. Then sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll at uni and with ChiMera. I lifted her chin and kissed her. “I don’t deserve you, Hayley. You’re too good for me, sweetheart…”Chapter 19HayleyPierce spent most of the flight to Singapore immersed in his e-reader, so I did likewise. Occasionally, I’d catch him playing with the silver chain I’d given him, and he’d shoot me an unfathomable look.

I leaned back in my chair, losing myself in a Mafia romance until we landed at Changi Airport. We walked down the steps of the 747, went through immigration, and the usual fleet of SUVs took us to our hotel. I’d researched this place before we’d left LA…but actually seeing it, as we crossed over a bridge spanning a bay, was something else. Three giant towers with a building resembling a cruise ship perched on top. It took my breath. Literally. I clutched Pierce’s arm. “Wow! Look at that!”

“Awesome, innit?”

After we’d checked in, Jake said we weren’t to order room service as he’d booked a private dining room so we could try the local food. He glanced at his watch, then clapped his hands together. “Get your sweet fannies there in half an hour, everyone, chop chop!”

“Micromanaging git,” Pierce muttered under his breath, but not in a nasty way. He grabbed my hand and we made our way over to the elevators.

“Wow,” I gushed again as we stepped into our suite. The view of the Singapore skyline by night was incredible. I went to the window and gazed at the gorgeous reflections of the cityscape lights reflected in the water below.

“This hotel is part of an integrated resort.” Pierce came up and stood behind. “I’m looking forward to our day off tomorrow while our team gets the stage set up at the National Stadium. We can have some fun…”

“Yay!”

It was about time the bands had a chance to relax, I thought to myself. Our tour of Australia had been grueling. We hadn’t even gotten to see the famous wildlife, the kangaroos and koala bears. Because they were such celebrities, ChiMera and Vanilla Sky had been more or less confined to their hotel suites between concerts…for fear of them getting mobbed. It had given Pierce and me a lot of time to work on my inhibitions, though. Just thinking about his hot mouth on my skin made my clit tingle.

“Wear your hair down, please, babe.” He shifted my braid from the nape of my neck and kissed along my collar bone. He brought his mouth down on mine, and I nipped at his lower lip. He released a deep throaty chuckle. “If you carry on like that there’s no way that we’ll be leaving this room…”
