She’s different in every single way. She’s special and incredible, absolutely perfect.

After last night, my feelings for her have only grown. I want her in my life even more than I did before. She has always excited and intrigued me, but now I crave every freaking inch of her body all the time. It’s like I’m a drug addict and I have just increased my dosage, so my cravings are even worse.

“You’re a love-struck fool,” I mutter to myself as I get myself ready to head out to work. “Honestly, Lance.”

I can’t help but wonder what my brothers would think of me now if they could see me, head over heels for Millie Jones. Obviously being the youngest, I have always been teased by them in a fun-loving way, but I’m sure they would be happy for me as well. Even though we have all gone our own way and we live completely separate and individual lives, but we all care about one another deeply. They would love it.

I’m sure they would all get on will with Millie as well. I can picture her fitting in well. We don’t exactly have lots of family reunions and big events, but I know that she would fit in well with everyone if we did.

I mentally plan what it would be like to have a family reunion, if we could all get the free time at the same time, all the way to work, and to be honest it’s still playing on the edge of my mind as I step on to set… it only floats away when everyone’s eyes whip around to stare at me and a thick silence clings to the air. A silence that for sure speaks volumes, something is definitely going on here and it has me panicked.

“What is going on?” I demand rapidly. “Why are you all acting really weird?”

No one speaks, not at first, but Ashley soon stomps across the room with a newspaper clutched between her fingers. She is so filled with rage that it might as well be steaming out of her ears. “What the hell is this?”

“Erm…” I lean forwards to see another news head line all about me and my love life. “Cheating? On who?”

“On me,” Ashley snaps as if this is obvious. “The media thinks that me and you are together, don’t they? That’s supposed to be our hook for this movie. Me and you have such chemistry that we’re together behind the scenes as well as in the movie. That’s why people are going to see it.”

“What?” I’m blown away, I have no idea what Ashley is talking about right now. “What do you mean?”

But Ashely is too busy ranting on to explain herself to me. “The press was outside of your house trying to get a picture of me and you together. Instead, they get you with some red head nobody which really throws a spanner in the works, doesn’t it? It makes it look like I’m not good enough for you, which I don’t like at all.”

I rub my head hard, trying to work out what I’m so clearly missing here. “Ashley, you sold the story to the papers about me and you. That wasn’t ever real. You do know that, right?”

She rolls her eyes and snorts at me like I am the one who doesn’t understand. “You aren’t looking at it through the eyes of a fan. They are going to hate you for cheating on me. The Internet will be going wild.”

“Then we should just let the world know that we were never together. Problem solved.”

Ashley squeals with rage and she tosses the newspaper at me. I automatically lean down to pick it up and find a small smile spreading across my face at the photograph of me and Millie kissing. Sure, this isn’t exactly as private as we wanted it to be, but there is no indication as to who this is. Millie can’t really be seen so I’m sure it’s fine. But what I really like is how entwined we are, how happy we look, how connected we have become. I really don’t think that even Millie can be annoyed when she sees this picture. She might even like it.

“Right, well we can ignore this mess and get back to work,” Michael snaps, reminding us why we’re here. “We still have a movie to make no matter what the press are saying about everything.”

He gives me a pointed look as he says those words, letting me know that he blames me entirely for this mess which is ridiculous. If Ashely didn’t start that stupid rumor about us, then the photographers wouldn’t have been out of my house and there wouldn’t be any pictures. She created all of this, so she should be blamed.

But whatever. I’m not going to get caught up in that. I’m just going to allow it to blow over my head and get on with my day. Even if everyone else is pissed off, I will do my best job and get back to my girl.
