I bite my lower lip, fighting back tears. No one has ever spoken such beautiful words to me. Words that hold so much honesty. His eyes stare back at me, shining with sincerity, and I want to break down all these walls I have built so high around me and confess all the love I’ve held for him all these years. Confess just how perfect I hold him to be. But he doesn’t allow it. He climbs off me, and the lack of his warmth disappoints me. There’s a low chuckle falling off his lips as he loosens his tie. “Relax, I’m not going anywhere. Just getting rid of these unwanted barriers. I want nothing between us.”

Relief settles in my chest, and I relax, my eyes clouding over when he tosses his tie to the ground, working at each button, exposing his firm, tan chest. His bronze skin is smooth and flawless, and I can’t help but gawk at how stunning he is. Once his shirt is gone, he undoes his pants, pushing them to the ground, along with his boxer briefs, and I struggle to keep my composure.

He’s gorgeous. Any time we’ve found ourselves in this situation, I’ve never taken the chance to admire him. Truly view and enjoy. “Seems unfair you get to do all the looking.”

I snap out of my haze and sit up, pulling my dress strap off my shoulder. Constricted by my long gown, I’m forced to stand, allowing the silk to fall in waves past my hips, leaving me bare except my white lace thong.

“Jesus,” Levi moans, taking in my form.

“I could say the same thing,” I reply, getting an eyeful myself.

He takes a step toward me. His lips hit mine, and his arms envelop me, carrying me back onto the bed. Laying my head gently on the pillow, his mouth opens, warming my bare skin with his inviting lips. I lose my fingers in his thick hair, pressing his head closer, needing more. His slowness creates this animalistic urge inside me. My hands become greedy, trailing down his back, my nails scraping against his skin.

“Levi, please.” He takes a soft nip at my skin, using his knee to push my legs apart. A strong hand dives into my hair as his other guides himself between my thighs. I realize there’s one vital mistake we’re making, and it’s protection. But I trust him. With everything.

The tip of his cock pushes at my entrance, and it’s almost too much. His eyes find mine, waiting for approval. “I don’t have anything. I didn’t plan this, so I—”

“Nothing between us, right? I trust you. Completely.” His steely gaze fills with a mixture of appreciation and arousal. With no further need for approval, he powers into me. The sonorous sound of pleasure fills the room, two voices, piercing with the same guttural need. He offers me a few breaths to adjust, but rears back and fills me once again. One after the other, he consumes me. My mind loses itself in the feel of him, the way his heart slams against mine, our bodies in tune. The tingling of my skin, the beating of his pulse. The sweat and buzzing around us. This isn’t just him taking from me, it’s him giving to me just as much. And in return, I offer him everything. My heart, my body, my trust. His lips find mine, knowing I’m close to falling, exploding, and losing myself to all things Levi Dent.

“So. Fucking. Beautiful…” he growls, and I let go. The air in my lungs gets trapped by the silent scream of my orgasm blasting through me, my walls breaking down, my heart cracking open. My fingers dig into his skin as I try to hold on, afraid I’ll float away. It’s only a few more powerful thrusts until his chest rumbles, telling me he’s just as far gone. Warmth fills me as his orgasm throws him off his own axis, his mouth slamming down on mine.

“Why’d you bring Rebecca?”

My question stirs him. We’ve been lying in bed, enjoying our after-explosive-sex high. My head is on his chest as his fingers play with my hair.

“I didn’t.”

“Then why was she with you? The gala roster said you added a plus one?”

He squeezes me, leaning up and placing a kiss on my head. “Checking up on me, huh?” My fingers find his bare nipple, and I pinch. “Ow! First off, the plus one was because Kip asked for it. When I showed up at his place to catch a ride with them, she was there. I guess she swindled her way into going.”

Of course she did. My anger at seeing her on Levi’s arm rears its ugly head. “Calm down, tiger. I would never lay a hand on her.” Even so, the simple gesture was enough to send me into an ass whooping frenzy. “Speaking of unwanted sidekicks, why Braydon?” Now I wish I never brought it up. Because my answer isn’t as innocent as his.
