Nik sidles up on my other side, looping an arm around my waist. “You haven’t had dessert yet.”
I raise a brow. “Did you make it?”
“God, no,” he says. “But I’m great at stealing it.”
“Steal me two. The baby’s hungry.”
“On it.” He skulks away like a cat burglar, and his brothers roll their eyes.
I glance toward the kids. Ivy’s spinning. Mila’s chasing. Alex is twirling like a drama queen. I hear the squeal of their joy.
This is it. Everything I ever wanted. Everything I never believed I could have. The kind of family people write stories about. The kind of love that makes you feel strong, not small.
And I grin so wide it hurts.
