His teeth at her nape sank deeper than a love bite, and she came again with wild abandon even before he slipped his erection between her shaking thighs to enter her again. His big hand spanned her breasts, claws grazing her nipples, so that herbody was just a tangle of livewire sensations, dark and brilliant gold.

She matched his every passionate plunge with a cry of delight, and when she jackknifed helplessly against him as another orgasm rolled through her, he stroked himself once more before finding his own release with a full-throated roar.

Spacetime itself must’ve blacked out with the force of their joining because she wasn’t sure how she ended up tucked beneath his arm, ensconced under the silky blankets.

“I love you.” His deep voice was even softer than his finger coiling through a lock of her hair. “Do I have the Earther words right?”

“You do.” She put her hand over the place she knew his heart was, just beneath the old scars. “And I feel it. Just so you know, none of my to-do lists for this cruise included falling in love.”

“Then maybe in just this case, I’m happy I could tempt you off course.” He rested his hand over hers. “You might have to wear your hair down for a bit.”

“Because Igotbit.”

He squeezed her. “And I’ll do it again.”

She grinned up at him “Now?”

“So demanding.”

She rubbed her cheek against his furred chest. “I dunno, someone once told me my hair wafts when it’s down.”

“As long as it wafts you into my bed.”

“Technically, this is my bed.” She squeezed him back. “But I’ll share it with you for all the lightyears ahead of us.”

Slipping one claw under her chin, he tipped her head up, gazing at her with that glowing golden eye before he settled his mouth over hers. His whiskers brushed her cheeks, the kiss as gentle as moonlight.

Finally, he loosened his hold a notch. “I have to go, azeeli. There’s a ship or something.”

“Or something.” She threaded her fingers through his mane. “How much trouble are we in, really?”

“We’re adrift. Which is perhaps better than hijacked.”

“Looking for the bright side out here in the dark?”

“Aye.” He tilted his forehead to hers, his rumbling sigh ruffling her lashes. “And I found it.”
