“I mean, why not? Everyone’s got to have their heart broken at least once, am I right?”

I chuckle lightly as she scoots in closer to me, reading the list over my shoulder. We’re so close that I can feel her heart beating against my arm. Chewing my bottom lip to distract myself from her, my eyes linger on one interesting choice.

“Try shibari? What the hell is that?”

Sienna’s eyes widen, mouth dropping slightly as I fully face her. Our noses are just shy of touching with our faces being so close. She bites the inside of her cheek, tampering down her humor.

“I was supposed to erase that from the list—”

“Oh, so it’s something kinky, isn’t it? I know how you book girls get.” I jokingly wink as she groans, punching my shoulder lightly.

“You’re not funny.”

Ignoring her, I move onto another part of the list. My eyes widen, heart dropping as I silently skim it once again. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this before when I first read the letter, but now my mind won’t stop racing.

“Sienna, are you a virgin?”

I don’t mean for my words to come out so bluntly, but they do. Sienna’s silence is nerve-wracking as she quietly moves away from me.

I’ll take that as a yes.

“You’re twenty, babe. I don’t expect you to be the next coming of Aphrodite or something…Come here.” I reach for her, but she doesn’t move. Instead, Sienna remains silently seated in the corner, watching me carefully.

Good going, asshole. You made her uncomfortable.

I stare at her, trying to communicate with my eyes since I clearly have the mental capacity of a four-year-old that doesn’t know how to keep their mouth shut, but like my other attempts, she doesn't talk back.

Time to resort to my last option.

With a loud sigh, I get up from my spot and make my way to her at the end of the couch. Sienna yelps as I tug her legs from under her, straightening them out and opening them slightly.

“What the hell are–Get up!” she screeches as I lay my large body in the space between her legs, my back to her stomach.

“Nope, we have a list to go over. Besides, I see here that you want to kiss three people in one night. I’ll let you know right now, angel, that isn’t happening.” I frown, mentally erasing that line altogether.

Sienna struggles to free herself from under the weight of my body on her torso before she gives up, her hands finding their way into my hair. I groan as she begins playing with the longer strands of my hair, reminding me that I need a haircut.

“What about it? Who says I can’t kiss three consenting adults if I want to?” she challenges, tugging my hair slightly. Suppressing another groan—God, this woman is going to be the death of me—I grin, tilting my head up to face her.

“I say. If you want three different people, I’ll buy two wigs.”

Sienna laughs quietly, her body vibrating from doing so as I turn back to the list.

“Since we’re keeping this a secret,” she starts, shifting under me, her hands still massaging, “we need to come up with a code.”

“Like special agents?” I annoyingly add, and I just know she’s rolling her little eyes at me.

Sienna pops the top of my head. “No, you idiot…We just need something to say that the two of us will understand. Like, I have a minx to catch…something like that.” She shrugs under me as my face scrunches.

“A minx? Like the weasel or the sex symbol?”

Sienna sighs dramatically. “You’re infuriating…”

“Let’s just say it’s a work thing,” I suggest, skimming the list.

“Technically Iamworking…”

Furrowing my brows, I turn to eye her before looking at the TV, the third movie inThe Lovers Saganow playing on the screen.
