“Man, you and Liv do got a shit ton of kids these days. But don’t worry about my shit. You just focus on fixing yours with your woman. I don’t like how either one of y’all asses has been. Your moody ass doesn’t know whether you want to kiss her or fuck her up for not picking you. And Liv’s been too sad to work most days. Shit, no lie, I feel like this vacation for me started weeks ago. She’s been off for the last couple of weeks. This week alone she’s only seen two and they were both women. She rescheduled the other three male clients.”

“Man shut up, ain’t nobody been moody. But I’m working on it. I told her the other day that it was just her and me. I ain’t going nowhere and neither is she. I got some stuff on my mind for her to consider when it comes to her career though. I’m standing on concrete about that. I don’t like it but I was moving unreasonably with the whole situation.”

“And was. You weren’t trying to listen to me that day though. I’m glad you coming around though. Liv is a good one. She’s solid. Loves your girls, and probably your big-headed ass too. When you get a her, you don’t fuck it up over something that can be fixed.”

“Tunk, I just told you that I’m working on it. I know Olive’s a good one. That’s why I was so fucked up over that cuddle shit. Shouldn’t nobody else be that close to her unless it’s me.”

“Speaking of, how are you going to address this plan of yours and does it involve a career change altogether? Like should I anticipate losing this location? I like working for Liv, she’s a cool ass client for real. And the work site isn’t bad at all.”

Damn I forgot Tunk was her employee too.

“Shit, I almost put you out of a job. But naw, you should be okay. I’ma talk to her about it tonight before she gets caught up with Byrdie and their shenanigans. I’m sure they’re going to try to sneak away for a girls' night. I’m already working on shutting that shit down too.”

“Yeah, you trying to fuck my money up too. And I’m glad you know their plan. You just need to get back in there good before then or else Byrdie’s ass is going to have Liv getting every other muthafucka’s number that night to replace her last one,” he joked, but wasn’t shit funny.

Olive’s mine.

Yeah, and I’m not going for that shit either.

“Shit, another muthafucka can’t replace me. Trust me, I own Olive’s mind, body, and soul. The only thing they gonna do is fuck around and find out who I am.”

“Speak that shit, Lando!”

The sound of the alarm system letting me know someone was here had me frowning until I heard her voice.

“Hey, speaking of the Mrs., she’s here. Let me hit you back later.”

“No need. I just told yo’ ass; I got moves. See you when I come down.” The line went dead and I put my phone in my pocket to greet my woman who I told to call when she was pulling in.

I hit the bottom of the steps to see Olive coming through the door.

“Captain, we’re home!” Olive’s sweet voice sang as she rolled two huge suitcases behind her. I shot Olive a glare as I approached, taking the suitcases.

“Olive, I could’ve sworn I told you to call when you were pulling in so I could get the bags myself.” She stood on her tippy toes, hooking her arms around my neck, pulling me down to kiss my lips, which I obliged, like a sucka.

“Captain, that’s not the proper way to greet your woman when she makes it home to you. And it was quicker for me to just hop out. Jo-Jo helped, believe it or not. He just left me once Neela called his name, stealing his already short attention span. Now can you tell me how happy you are to have me for the next two weeks in your space—in your bed—on your dick.” She placed kisses on my lips and my cheeks trying to get me to crack a smile. But I didn’t as I maintained my stony expression. Olive kissed her teeth, causing me to take her bottom lip into my mouth, sucking gently before I bit down hard, making Olive yelp.

“Stop trying to do my job, Olive. When I need help in my role as your man, I’ll let you know. I’m pretty sure that day will never fucking come though. Now, are we good? Welcome home, baby!”

“No we’re not good, Highland, you just bit me and it hurt,” Olive whined as she poked her lip out and looked down as if she was truly trying to examine it.

“You’re right, and I apologize, let me kiss it and make it better.” I leaned down and kissed her tenderly, gently tugging her bottom lip.

I broke the kiss once I noticed my dick stretching out. I’d taken Kelvin’s advice of not taking it there with Olive until we handled our plan moving forward with her career. And my dick didn’t like my choice.

“Did that help?” I smirked at Olive who only offered a nod with her eyes still closed.

“Good. While I get y’all stuff situated upstairs, you’ll find the pitcher of pina colada margaritas in the freezer already waiting for you. I had a plan to have it in hand when I got you out of the car, but someone was hardheaded. When is Byrdie and her crew coming down?”

“They should be coming in a few. They were down here waiting for me before they wanted to pop up. Ooh, that reminds me, I have to call her.” I nodded as I headed upstairs.

Once I made it back down, Olive was in the kitchen, pouring the pina colada into a glass decorated with pineapple and coconut on the rim and a cherry on top, while she talked on the phone to who I assumed was Byrdie.

Of course my baby would take the simple drink and make it cute.

I walked up behind her, wrapping her in my arms, and nuzzling my face in her neck, taking in her scent.

“Yes, Byrdie, I promise. I’m getting my suit on now, right after I finish my first drink. Remember I got two more than you, you gotta give me more than five to meet you down there. Plus, let me see what Highland is going to do. I’ll call you once I’m walking out the door, so don’t head out just yet.”
