Was he becoming addicted to Marcus? Obsessed?

No. This was what it was like to love, to finally belong to someone, to want to be with someone. It was scarier than he’d imagined.

“Did I hurt you?” Marcus mumbled against his skin.

“I feel so damn good right now. I don’t ever want it to stop.”

Marcus hummed, his arm tightening around him a little bit. “Me too.”

But then he sighed and carefully withdrew from Ethan’s body. Before Ethan could move, Marcus was rearranging the pillows and gathering him close as he laid Ethan back down on the bed. Marcus stretched out beside him and pulled Ethan against him so that Ethan’s head was on his chest.

“Is this okay?”

Ethan managed a little laugh. “I’m beginning to doubt your ‘never done this before’ claim, because you’re pretty damn perfect to me.”

“Good. I want you to feel cherished. Loved.”

Ethan’s head immediately popped up and he looked at Marcus. “Really?”

Marcus’s expression turned dark before he cupped Ethan’s cheek. “You don’t feel it? I love you, Ethan.”

His heart skipped over itself in his excitement. “Well, I thought…maybe. But then you didn’t say it when I did.”

Marcus smiled at him. “I didn’t say it because I was afraid that you’d believe I was only saying it because it was expected. I wanted to show you with my actions, with my body, that you own my heart.” Marcus rolled him onto his back, covering him as he pressed Ethan down into the mattress. “You are mine, Ethan Cline. You are the first person I have ever loved, and you shall be the last. I will protect you with everything that I am. I never want to be parted from you.”

The words sounded like a vow that was chiseled into stone, and Ethan loved it.

“I want all that too.”

Marcus grinned, his entire being seeming to glow with his joy. “Good.” He kissed Ethan roughly before rolling onto his back again, pulling Ethan on top of him. Ethan relaxed, closing his eyes as he soaked in the feel of Marcus’s large hands rubbing up and down his body. After several passes, he felt Marcus’s long finger rubbing through the cum leaking from his hole. He held perfectly still, letting Marcus explore, but there was no stopping the groan the rumbled up his chest when Marcus pushed his thick finger inside.

“I can’t help myself,” Marcus whispered. “I can’t stop thinking about it. I just want to keep filling you. Making you mine.”

Before Ethan could form a thought, he felt Marcus reach for the lube. His head popped up when he heard the plastic cap snap.

“Wait. Are you hard already?”

Marcus answered by grabbing Ethan’s hips and moving him so that he was fully on top of Marcus. With ease, he thrust up into Ethan, filling him. He didn’t know if it was a Marcus thing or a vampire thing, but he didn’t care. Ethan sat up and pushed Marcus’s hands away as he proceeded to ride him hard. The slapping of their bodies and their pants filled the silence of the room. Marcus wrapped his slick hand around Ethan’s dick, waking it. Ethan was sure he couldn’t come again so soon, but he didn’t care. He loved the feel of Marcus inside of him, the sounds they made together.

Marcus shouted and his hand tightened on Ethan’s dick as he pumped himself into Ethan. The sensations shoved Ethan off the cliff after him. The orgasm was sharp and almost painful, but it was perfectly balanced with the pleasure surging through every part of his body.

He collapsed on Marcus, sweat and cum mixing together between them.

“I’m dead. You killed me. I’m dead,” Ethan panted.

He felt more than heard Marcus’s laugh as his chest shook beneath him. “But it was a very good death.”

“The best.”

Marcus allowed them to lie there for a few more minutes before he started nudging Ethan toward the shower. When it was clear that Marcus wasn’t joining him, Ethan crossed his arms and refused to move until Marcus admitted that he was trying to sneak in a quick pint of bagged blood while Ethan was in the shower.

“Why don’t you want me to see you drink blood?”

“I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

Ethan reached over and grabbed Marcus’s hand in both of his. “We can’t have something work between us if you’re hiding a really big part of you. I can’t ever become comfortable with it if I’m never faced with it.”

Marcus gave him a crooked smile. “You’re sure?”

“I’m curious, actually.”

Still looking a little unsure, Marcus walked over to his dresser and opened a small door to reveal a mini fridge similar to that of a hotel. He pulled out a bag of blood and poured the contents into a large glass.

“You don’t mind it cold?”

Marcus wrinkled his nose a little. “It’s not my first choice, but I tend to wake up a little peckish in the morning. A glass helps to keep the hunger pains at bay until it’s safe to hunt.” He lifted the glass to Ethan in a toast before he tipped the drink down his throat. Ethan was a little surprised that he wasn’t disgusted by it. It looked sort of like tomato juice, but he knew it wasn’t.
