“Ready?” His deep voice rumbled, equal parts gruff and tender.

Sunny managed a tight nod, following his broad form toward the airport entrance where Maddie and Hailey, who had run on ahead, were bouncing with anticipation.

“This is going to be so fun!” Hailey squealed, clutching a stuffed dolphin.

The bumpy ride to their luxury house allowed Sunny to take in the vibrant island scenery. Roadside vendors hawked woven baskets and fruit, reggae music spilled from open-air cantinas, and verdant hills rolled toward an impossibly turquoise ocean on the horizon. She couldn’t wait to explore it all with Maddie and Hailey.

Growing up in the foster care system, she had never experienced anything quite like this. As an adult, on the salary of a nanny, her breaks were far more modest. This was a whole new world for her.

As the shuttle pulled up to their lavish white stone beachfront villa, the girls shrieked with glee, already unbuckling seatbelts. Sunny laughed at their infectious excitement, scooping up Hailey and spinning her around. In that moment, she felt blissfully part of this makeshift family. Morgan’s cruel jibes seemed a distant memory.

The first afternoon was spent exploring the beach and wading into the clear sea. The girls were already flagging by early evening due to jet lag and their giddy excitement.

Later that evening after the girls were tucked in bed, Sunny wandered onto the moonlit balcony and inhaled the briny ocean breeze. The rhythmic lapping of waves against the sugar-white sand was a siren’s call for her soul.

She descended the wooden steps, slipped off her sandals and strode to where the pristine shoreline met the turquoise depths, digging her toes into the plush grains. The sand was still warm from the day’s beating Sun. Sunny had never seen water so spectacularly transparent and inviting. She waded in up to her calves, the bathwater-warm sea lapping at her sundress. It felt like a small slice of heaven.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?”

Sunny whirled at the deep timbre of Liam’s voice. He stood barefoot in the shallows several yards away, board shorts slung low on his hips and sculpted chest glistening with spray.

“Un-unbelievably,” she stammered, drinking in his bronzed form bathed in silver moonlight. The sight stoked a familiar longing.

Liam closed the distance between them with several powerful strides until his looming presence overwhelmed her senses with his earthy, masculine scent.

“You look good enough to eat in that little dress,” he murmured, fingertips grazing her bare shoulder.

Sunny’s breath hitched at his seductive touch.

“Liam…the girls…”

She looked back at the big window of their bedroom.

“Sound asleep. I checked.”

Then his mouth claimed hers in a hungry kiss, silencing her half-hearted protest.

His calloused palms cradled her face, soft stubble scraping her skin as their tongues tangled with escalating passion. Sunny melted against Liam’s sculpted form, emboldened by the sultry night air and the liberating thrill of being out in the open.

This part of the beach was private and at this hour there was no-one else close by.

They shed their scant clothing with fumbling urgency until skin met feverish skin. Liam hurriedly put on a condom before hoisting Sunny up, her legs winding around his muscled hips as he took her further into the gently lapping tide so they were half submerged. Her back arched with pleasure at the contrasting sensations of Liam’s scorching hands roaming her body and the soothing saltwater lapping at her heated flesh.

He leaned down and sucked on her erect nipples before kissing her with a fevered passion.

She breathed in his ear as she wrapped her arms tighter around his neck.

“You are so beautiful,” he whispered back. “Perfect…to me, you are just perfect.”

Sunny could feel her heart swell.

She instinctively wiggled her hips, sliding down Liam’s taut body. He helped to guide her movements until his rock-hard cock gently entered her soaking vagina.

He just held her in place, not moving, but peppering her neck with soft kisses before drinking in her face in the moonlight.

She looked deep into his blue eyes, seeing the soul of a man who was striving to do his best for those he loved. A good man. An honestman. Someone with heart. Generous. Kind. Flawed. Like all of us.

He cupped his hands under her buttocks and slowly began to rock her while finding her lips with his own again. Soft moans escaped her lips as he began to move with more force, intensifying his thrusts.
