“She’s bleeding a lot.” I crawl off the bed, standing next to Myrick.

Charlie’s dark eyes fall to my bobbing cock. It’s still wet with slick and streaks of blood. His face burns bright red as he forces his gaze back to Autry.

“Okay.” He nods once. “What happened?”

Charlie sits on the edge of the bed, but his tone is different. Professional.

“We were…” Autry trails off, hiding her face in her hands.

“I fucked her,” I bark. I need to calm down, but I’m too amped. Scared. What if I broke her?

"Okay," Charlie says with a steady nod, slipping into his calm, almost clinical tone. "Autry, can you lie back for me?"

Moving slowly, Autry shimmies back down the bed, her legs still pressed tightly together. Her cheeks are flushed, and she can’t quite meet anyone’s eyes.

“I’m so sorry,” Charlie says gently, his voice low and steady. He rests a comforting hand above her knee. “Can you spread your legs?” He offers a sympathetic smile. “I promise I’ll be quick.”

Autry nods once, biting her lip, then she turns her head away and stares at the wall. Embarrassment radiates off her in waves as she slowly parts her thighs. Her pained expression twists something deep in my chest.

Charlie moves with the calm focus of someone who’s done this a hundred times, his expression soft but clinical. “I don’t have gloves,” he mutters under his breath, clearly frustrated with himself.

“Do what you have to!” I bark, and Charlie flinches. “You don’t need gloves,” I add quickly, guilt blooming in my gut. “Just… hurry.”

“It’s okay, alpha,” Myrick murmurs as he moves to me. He presses close, slipping his arms around my waist. “Charlie knows what he’s doing. He’ll take care of her.”

I nod, jaw tight, and watch as Charlie slips two fingers deep inside my omega, then carefully presses on her abdomen. He seems so focused and careful, but it doesn’t stop a possessive growl from ripping from my throat. Autrywinces at the sound but doesn’t say anything. I hate seeing her like this—vulnerable, in pain, because of me.

And all I can do now is stand here and fucking wait.

“Okay.” Charlie gently pulls his hand from her body. He looks up at me with a soft, reassuring smile. “She’s okay.” Then he turns to Autry, who’s finally meeting his gaze. “Your secondary hymen was just a little thicker than average. I can feel the tear. But the bleeding is already slowing down.” He motions to the messy sheets. “I know it looks like a lot of blood, but it really isn’t.”

Relief floods me, but it doesn’t erase the guilt twisting in my gut.I did this to her.

Charlie stands, then points to the bathroom with his bloody fingers. “Mind if I wash up?”

“Oh—yes! Of course,” Myrick jumps into action, hurrying to open the door for him.

“Rhett?” Autry’s voice is quiet, and when I glance down, she’s sitting up, reaching for me.

I’m beside her in a second, cradling her carefully in my arms. “I’m so sorry,” I whisper, the words catching in my throat. “I never meant to hurt you.”

She lets out a soft laugh and nuzzles her cheek against my chest. “I told you—I’m fine.”

I press a kiss to the top of her head, holding her a little tighter.

Charlie returns a moment later, drying his hands on a towel. “She’ll be fine,” he says, confident and calm. “Maybe…wait a day or two before trying again, yeah?”

Autry presses her face against my shoulder. I can feel her smile against my skin. And even though my guilt still lingers, it’s softened now.

“Let me know if you need anything else,” Charlie says, giving me a little bow of his head. His dark hair falls into hiseyes, soft and messy, and for a moment, I can’t look away. He’s very handsome.

I’ve noticed his boyish charm, but I haven’t allowed myself to fully admire him. He’s short with a slender build and bashful smile. But he’s also sexy.

“Good night.” Charlie gives Autry a little half-wave before stepping out of the room.

I watch and listen as he walks down the hall, gratitude swelling in my chest. When he leaves, a swirl of his warm, buttery scent dances around me, settling the last of my nerves.

Thank god he was here.
