When I finally stilled, a pleasant warmth lingered in my limbs.
Connor kissed my forehead and gently pulled out. Rolling to the side, he brought my sweaty body to his chest and let out a contented sigh.
We lay there, listening to the party rage downstairs. Eventually, I groaned, flopping onto my back. “Let’s party.”
Connor chuckled. “Don’t sound so excited.”
“There’s a legacy coming through rush this year,” Mona said, her attention solely on Blake and her little minions in the kitchen.
“Oh, yeah?” I asked, leaning into Connor’s hold.
Mona lifted her chin at the freshman walking away from Blake.
Why does she look so familiar?
As the tall blond got closer, unease settled in my gut. She smiled, and I muttered, “Oh no.”
Bouncing up to me, she gave me a little wave and said, “Hi! I know we aren’t supposed to talk to you all before rush, but I wanted to introduce myself. I’m Cassidy Williams.” She swallowed thickly, her eyes flashing to Connor before falling back to me.
“Carter’s sister.”
