“That’s good enough then. Alex?” He tilts his head, looking at me. “I think we destroyed the bed.” He laughs as he looks around us.

“Let’s get cleaned up, then I’ll deal with this. I cannae guarantee I willnae just mess it up again later though.” I laugh before kissing him quickly.

“God, I hope so.”

Our trip back from Miami was as uneventful as it can be when traveling with a soccer star known for being approachable. The only time he turns loose of my hand is to sign an autograph or kick a ball around the terminal with some kids. He gets in trouble until one of the security guards recognizes him. Alex happily poses for a picture with him to send to his daughter. It never ceases to amaze me how many soccer balls can be produced at a moment's notice for him to sign.

The second the plane leaves the ground, I’m asleep on Alex’s shoulder. I wake up to the flight attendant asking us to raise our seats for landing. Stretching, I watch as she flirts with him, taking his drink glass. “Did I miss something while I was asleep?” I ask with a yawn. “Gross, I think I drooled on you.” He grins, looking at his shoulder.

“Naw as sexy as a bite mark, but I’ll take it.” I roll my eyes at him before settling back in my seat for landing. “Where dae ye want tae eat before heading tae the hotel?” I guess he just assumes we’ll be staying at his hotel.

“I really need to do some laundry. I thought I would stay tonight at my apartment.” I could really use some sleep before heading into the week. With Alex sleeping almost naked next to me, I can’t seem to get much lately. He kisses the back of my hand.

“Are ye already growing tired of me?”

“No! I just really need to spend some time at home.” He studies me with his intense gaze until I break. “Fine, I can’t get much sleep with all of that” —I wave my hand at his body— “naked next to me.” He laughs when the woman sitting in front of us looks between the seats at him then at me before mumbling something about not kicking him out of her bed.

“I’ll make a deal with ye,” he says, his eyes narrowing. “We’ll go tae yer apartment tae dae the washing. I’ll sleep on the couch so ye can get some sleep in yer bed. Just remember, it’s gaun tae be really hard for ye to wake up with my face between yer thighs if ye’re in the other room.”

“Oh. My. God.” We hear from the seat in front of us. The corner of his mouth twitches up until we both break out in hysterics.

The plane lands shortly and we stand preparing to get off. The woman in front of us winks at me when Alex reaches into the overhead bin to retrieve our suitcases, exposing a small portion of his abs. She’s an older woman, I’d guess somewhere around fifty.

“Sweetie,” she says, looking at me. “If something that fine wants to follow you home, I say let him.” With a smile at Alex, she walks off the plane.

“Ye heard the woman. Ye have tae take me home with ye,” he says with a wicked grin. Shaking my head, I step into the aisle, motioning for him to follow me. “That’s more like it.”

We decide to go to his room since there is a bed big enough for both of us to sleep comfortably on. I shower while he orders room service for us. Sitting on the couch watching a movie after finishing our burgers, I finally fall asleep. I feel Alex pick me up to carry me to the bed.

“Shh, get some sleep. I’m going to take a shower then I’ll be back.” I curl up, only waking when I feel his arm pull my body snug against his.

It’s late when I wake up the next morning. Unlike promised, Alex is not laying between my thighs. I can hear him talking in the sitting room where we watched the movie last night.

Climbing out of bed, I dig one of his T-shirts out of the bureau, sliding it over my head. Standing in the door, I watch as he paces with his back to me, deep in conversation on the phone.

“They’re naw saying who it is? Why?” He listens for a moment before responding, “So we’re certain it’s some club in Europe?” Another long pause before, “So would I be on loan tae the Galaxy until summer?” Looking up, he notices me standing in the door. “Okay, just let me know something as soon as ye do. Aye, thanks Jack.” He tosses his phone down before walking over to me.

“Is everything okay? I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, I just heard you out here. I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a problem.” He’s standing in front of me, watching with his arms crossed as I tug on the front of his T-shirt I’m wearing.

“So ye heard voices and decided tae come oot here in a T-shirt that barely covers yer arse?” His eyebrows raise as he reaches down to cup my ass with both hands.

Picking me up, he walks back into the bedroom before tossing me on the bed. “It was my agent. Seems there is some club interested in buying oot my contract this year instead of waiting for next year.” He grabs both my ankles, pulling me toward the edge of the bed.

“You said it’s someone in Europe? Does he have any idea who?” I ask squealing on the last word as he gives me one last jerk toward the end of the bed. Kneeling, he places both of my legs over his wide shoulders.

“He disnae know, but he’s trying tae find oot. I’ll hear from him when he knows something, until then I have tae wait. Now, the only words I want tae hear oot of ye are in the form of moans.”

He looks up at me in concentration for a moment before announcing, “I’m thinking two orgasms before I take ye to breakfast. Since ye dinnae make me wear a condom anymore, I’ll guarantee you one will be while I’m buried balls deep in ye.” He lowers his head down. True to his word, I come twice before I’m allowed to dress for the day.

The week flies by like a dream. It’s rare that Alex and I are apart. The only hiccup at the beginning of the week was having to talk to my family on the phone when Mom called. Alex watched from my couch with a concerned expression growing on his face until I finally was allowed to hang up.

“That was yer parents?” he asks.

“It was also my sister, they used the speakerphone. I need to call my brother soon to see how my sister-in-law is feeling. Their next baby is due in April.” I shrug, turning back to the movie we’re watching on Netflix at my apartment. Alex pauses the movie again before turning toward me.

“They dinnae even bother tae ask how ye’re daeing or whit ye’ve been up tae. Dae they even know aboot me?”

“Why, they won’t care unless you can advance my sister’s career. As a matter of fact, they would probably insist on you dating her for that very reason.” Alex sits staring at me in disbelief. “I told you that’s why I was hiding out in the library.”
