Piper clears her throat. "Ask him when he gets here. Or whatever you're doing." She turns red. "Um, Bella, so do you have any siblings?"
"A sister," she says.
"Would you want to know if your sister was into bondage?" Piper asks.
Bella presses her lips together, thinking. "I would. She's fiery. I can imagine her into anything, but her husband… he's about as interesting as white rice. It's hard to picture him in a leather mask." She looks to Piper. "But I wouldn't need the kind of details Joel is offering."
I slide my arm around Bella's waist and pull her body into mine. "You saying you don't want me to tie you up and eat you out until you're begging me to fuck you?"
Bella blushes. "I'm not saying that at all."
Piper laughs. "You know, Kit's mom was worried about Joel and I being close friends. She really thinks Joel is charming."
"Only because she had no idea how perfectly we fit together." He leans down to plant a kiss on Piper's forehead. His voice is sweet. He's barely leaving room for a sexual implication.
She rises to her tiptoes to plant an equally sweet kiss on his lips.

When she pulls back, Piper looks to Bella. "Can I borrow you for a while? I need dirt on Joel if I'm going to manage to torture him back. Mal's gotten really open about his… interests. Joel has too much material."
"Sure." Bella winks at me.
"You selling me out, angel?" I ask.
She smiles. "Only if Piper delivers some dirt on you."
"You're fucked." Kit laughs.
"I know." I watch them leave then I turn back to the bassist. "She as shy about threesomes as she says?"
He rolls his eyes. "You're so full of shit."
"I am?"
He nods. "Trying to make it about sex. That's bullshit."
"It is?"
Again, he nods. "You really fucking like her."
"I do."
He smiles. "Have you two decided to stay hitched?"
"Not yet."
"Good luck."
"Thanks." I need it.
