“I didn’t say anything about fucking!”
“But when you say things like that it makes me want to fuck you.”
I slapped his chest playfully. “Well guess what?”
“What?”
“Now we have all the time in the world, we have our entire lives in front of us.”
“Lennox.” Kara came barreling toward us, her hair blowingbehind her as she leapt over the bodies littering the ground.
“Lennox!”
I crashed into my sister with such force it almost knocked the air out of me.
“Kara.” Emotion clogged in my throat as I embraced my sister.
“You did it, Len, you did it. I always knew you would.” I blinked back tears. It had all started with needing to protect her—to keep her safe. And I had done it. Kara—everyone I loved—would be safe now.
Adreona was dead.
“If I didn’t have you at my side—I could have never done it without you.”
“Yes, you could have. You’re Lennox Adair, after all.” She squeezed my shoulders. “But I’ll accept the compliment.”
“L!” I looked over Kara’s shoulder to find Nico making his way to us, Declan and Luce at his sides.
A wide smile lit up the wolf’s face. “You did it, L!” He lifted me up and set me on his shoulder, his arm banding around my legs to hold me still as I braced a hand on his other shoulder. “All hail High Queen Lennox Adair!” His voice rang through the air.
“All hail High Queen Lennox Adair!” I looked around as shouts rang out from around the forest, soldiers who still lingered appearing from between the trees.
“Stop it, put me down right now, Nico!” My words lacked conviction as I bit back a smile.
He obliged, setting me back on two feet, but not before smacking a kiss on my cheek.
I couldn’t hold back my smile any longer.
“You did it, Lennox.” Declan’s strong hand landed on my shoulder. There was a look on his face I had never seen before. His entire face had softened and there was the biggest smile I had ever seen working its way across it.
I liked this look on him. “Thanks, Dec.” He let out an oomph as I pulled him in for a hug. “I couldn’t have done it without you.” I let him go and looked at everyone. “Without all of you. We would not be standing here victorious if it weren’t for all of you.” Tears welled in my eyes. “I love you all.” Luka pulled me to his side, placing a kiss on the top of my head.
“I love you all until the stars turn to dust.

The next several weeks passed in a blur.
Who knew the aftermath of a war would take so much time and attention?
All we wanted to do was go home and rest. But there were so many meetings for me and Lennox to attend to.
We needed to secure Lethenia’s future and ensure nothing like this would happen again. Ensure anyone loyal to the Vanir and Panateia would be dealt with accordingly.
We had to put safeguards in place to make sure they never rose up again.
Each soldier in Adreona’s army was put in front of Endora and other witches with her magic—forcing the truth to spill from their lips. They confessed their crimes to her, and they were recorded and dealt with according to the system the council had put in place.
