"Toothbrushes are in the top right drawer. I'll leave you some clothes on the bed."

"You're a nice boy, Ryan McCloud!" she yelled from the bathroom.

Nice boy? Blech. He could tell she was teasing him and didn't mean to insult him, but calling him a "boy" was a little unfair. A boy doesn't ravish a woman like he ravished Lucy last night. Although he had to try really hard to make sure things didn't end quickly, which wasn't easy. Lucy's amazing body made him lose all common sense and there were a few times when he thought he had the stamina of a teenager. But he tried his best and stuck it out until she took him for everything he had.

He finally got up and started rummaging around his closet for something for Lucy to wear. There were a few Pirates jerseys that he had for public appearances or some sort of charity event. He grabbed one of those for her along with a pair of athletic shorts from his dresser drawer. They had a drawstring at the waist and he figured she could tighten them so they wouldn't fall off. Then he grabbed a t-shirt out of his dresser drawer and pulled it on.

Ryan padded out into the kitchen and started making the coffee, measuring the grounds to make sure it wasn't too weak or too strong. There was a bit of trial and error this summer at his parents' place, but he finally perfected it. He poured the water in and pressed the on button just as Lucy walked out wearing his clothes.

"What do you think?"

Sexy. Gorgeous. Desirable. He wanted to have his way with her on the kitchen counter after all. But he also needed coffee after Lucy exhausted him last night.

"You look pretty amazing," he told her.

"Coffee is not going to be enough though," she told him. "You have eggs or anything like that here?"

Ryan just shook his head. "We can go to the local diner. I know Andy and Sydney go there in the morning."

Lucy's eyes lit up. "Oh! Andy and Sydney?"

"Yeah."

"Can we do that thing with Sydney that you do in the morning?"

Ryan paused for a second. He knew exactly what Lucy was referring to: Ryan and Sydney's little dog-and-pony show they would do for women who had overstayed their welcome at Ryan's place. Sydney was probably the source of most of Lucy's knowledge of the performance. Although Lucy wasn't like most of the women he brought home and he didn't want to do this to get her out of his place.

"I don't know," he told her.

Lucy walked around and grabbed his hand. "We did agree last night that we needed to tell them."

"We did."

"And if we did it this way, Sydney will be so embarrassed that she won't ask us too many details."

Ryan smiled down at her. "You do have a point."

"Let me run down real quick to my car so I can at least get pants that fit."

"Wait, covering up your legs is part of this? I don't know if I like this plan."

Lucy stood up on her tiptoes and kissed him gently on the cheek. "I'll be right back."

She grabbed her purse and heels from the floor where she left them.

"You're not wearing those down there, are you?" he asked.

She took a deep breath and stared at the shoes in her hand. "I guess not. I have tennis shoes in the car so I may go barefoot and just toss these in the back."

"Stop being stubborn."

He walked into his bedroom and opened his closet door again, digging around until he found what he was looking for. Then he walked back out to Lucy with a pair of plush white slippers.

"Some of the fancy hotels let us keep these when we're on the road."

She smiled and took them from his hand. "Thank you." She dropped them on the floor and quickly slipped them on her feet. "I'll be right back."

Lucy headed out with his slippers, his jersey and his athletic shorts on. She looked like a hot mess, but a gorgeous hot mess. He noticed her taking a peek down the hall, making sure no one like Sydney was there. Then she turned, gave him a quick smile, and slowly closed the door behind her.
