“Sing, Bitch. Oooohh, ahhhh,” I sang as I laughed and dipped him lower, his face sliding across the street.

Cappadonna was reciting Diana’s words. “He called yo name, Goon… he needed you. No matter where you were, you came.”

Even with the weather cooler, these niggas didn’t care. They’d just pull their snorkels out and stand on the corner for no reason at all.

I was surprised that nobody was on the block, not even on the corner. Joey stayed on this block with his actual baby moms, and since she was hitting his phone anyway while he was with the next bitch, I figured I would drop him off.

Capp pulled in front of the two-story brick house, and I hopped out, kicking that nigga in the process. Khaos whipped on the block behind me as Capp hopped out, his gun already out in case some shit went down.

I knocked on the door and waited. A little boy, looked to be eight, opened the door while I held his father like roadkill. “Mommy, the door!” he hollered while staring at the unrecognizable man.

His father.

A Spanish chick with hair dye came to the door and started to scream, but I snatched her ass up. “Scream if you want to... you know what the fuck comes with this life… you lucky I’m bringing him home to you.”

I dropped him at the door and kicked the life out of him in the chest. He didn’t make a noise, and I was lowkey assuming he was dead, because every part of his body hit that street on the way over here.

The tatted blue hearts with waves in the middle on her arm, let me know she was a siren.

Deep water Demonz called the bitches that ran with them sirens. She was part of this shit, so she already knew what it was.

I walked backwards, never breaking eye contact with her. She wanted blood, and she couldn’t do shit because it was either prove that she was about this life or protect her son. She couldn’t protect the nigga in front of her, but she could protect his fucked-up offspring.

Khaos smirked as he threw up gang signs, which infuriated her more. “Bitch ass mermaid.”

I hopped back into the whip, and the moment Capp sat down, he whipped off the block and looked at me. “You know what comes with what we just did.”

“I did… I’ll take this… you got a family.”

He stomped on the brake and looked at me. “We in this shit together… family, nigga. They took a life, we took a life, now we funeral directors.”

I broke out laughing, dapping him up because this was for real my brother. Always been solid since the day we met, and ain’t never let me down. He started driving again. “Nigga, what the fuck is wrong with you?” I continued to laugh to myself.

“Everything that’s wrong with you… dragged that nigga all through Brooklyn. I would do the same shit for Joy… shit, you know the shit I’ve done for Joy.”

Zoya had always had her brother who would do anything for her. Menace made sure they were all protected and would do anything for them. She had never witnessed having a real nigga, aside from Menace, handle shit for her.

We knew not to head back to Jerk and Lime, but because we were close by, we caught a sea of Inferno Gods riding by on their bikes. I peeped both Menace and Corleon’s bike mixed in with them.

Capp’s car screen lit up, and he answered. “What up, Aim?”

“Hey Pops! So, all the street cameras along with those who have security cameras in the area were wiped. Just let me know when you’re on your way home and I can stall those cameras.”

“What about Jerk and Lime?”

I could hear typing in the background along with a kid’s show. “When Menace triggered the lights, it shut everything off in the restaurant, security included. Last bit of footage is when he’s eating with the girl. Corleon even wiped you showing up.”

I nodded. “Thanks, Aimee.”

She yawned. “Don’t mention it. I need to put this boy to bed, because Capella insists on me picking him up from the airport in the morning.”

“Never know where that boy is anymore… tell his ass to come see me when ya’ll get home… miss him.”

“Will do. You want to talk to Pop-Pop?” She spoke to Rory.

The phone sounded like he snatched it from her. “Hi Pop-Pop… luh you.”

“Love you too, Boy Boy… see you tomorrow, alright?”
