Havoc had the bread to open this lounge anywhere in the city and he chose Brooklyn. Said he wanted it to be home, and nowhere else was home but Brooklyn. As we posted up, everybody was lined up to get inside.

If the Inferno Gods stamped a spot, you knew the women were coming. Not too far behind them were the men, ready to spend money and buy drinks with the hopes they would go home with them at the end of the night.

We watched a black Suburban pull up, and the door opened. Kobe got out and held the door open while Synthia climbed out behind him.

I never knew what was going on when it came to Synthia and Havoc. One minute, he was telling me they weren’t together, and she had a new nigga. Then, the next, she was popping out with his best friend to his lounge opening.

“Look at the Kang out and about,” Kobe sauntered his dramatic ass over toward us. Quasim didn’t bother to correct him like he used to. Kobe was going to do him, and we just allowed him. “What up, Kobe?”

“Your wife is on her way… she just told us in the group chat.” He felt the need to inform him, as if he didn’t know where his wife was.

I laughed. “So, fuck me, Kobe?”

He spun around. “I was getting to you… I got some real beef with you. The fuck is your problem? Broad daylight?”

“It was night.”

“Then pulling out a sword like that.”

I paused and looked at his ass, confused. “He took an edible before we came over here... there was never any mention of a sword. But you wild.”

“You know what’s wild… your sister.” Khaos walked over and stood in front of Synthia, and she looked up at him.

Both Syn and her sister looked alike and were both petite. One would think they were twins.

Synthia had more tattoos than her sister though.

“You like Irie? You do know that girl is a pig?” Kobe loudly questioned, folding his arms across his chest.

“Chill out on my baby… she doing her job. Can’t be mad at her for that.” Khaos smirked, counting down the moments until he ran into Irie again.

Synthia looked past us, as Havoc came out the lounge. She signed something to him, and he nodded his head.

Ignoring us, she went over to hug him. Havoc had to bend down so her arms could reach around his neck.

“Zoya is coming tonight, so you better act right.” Kobe gave me the stink eye, like I did some wild shit to Zoya.

“The fuck is that supposed to mean?”

He paused, burped and then remembered what the fuck we were talking about. “Honestly, I don’t know. I do know that you two been playing too many games… we all don’t need another Blair and Kang situation, am I righhhh?” He tried to dap Sim up, and he left his ass hanging.

“You think I’m gonna dap you up after tossing shots this way… hilarious,” he said with a straight face.

Kobe looked at him. “Hmph… be funny acting.”

I watched as he zipped open the bag he wore across him, popped a gummy into his mouth and then walked away.

There was a line going down the block with those wanting to get in. Kobe, Havoc and Syn went into the lounge, while we remained outside.

“You heard him… act fucking right,” Meer teased and I ignored his ass, while he broke out into laughter.

“Fuck you.”

Meer took a pull from his spliff. “Nah, you have to actually fuck to have chocolate babies… how you gonna do that when you pissed her off?”

The argument between us was still fresh on my mind. As much as I wanted to make it right, go across the hall, and tell her that I was sorry, something always stopped me. I was giving her space, something she was used to always having.

I wanted Zoya more than she knew, and I had been patient and giving her the time she needed. I allowed her to be with a nigga that was beneath her because I was patient.
