She paused. “Holy fuck. That’s bad.”
“What’s bad?”
“That’s Finn’s house, Jade.”
My eyes widened. “Cheery, colorful Emmy is mated toFinn?”
“Maybe someone else was hanging out at his house?” Abby suggested.
“We can fucking hope.”
“I’ll go over there now and text you updates. Just enjoy the climax, okay? The drama will still be here in a few days.”
I let out a long breath. “Alright. Thanks.”
“No problem. Congrats!” She hung up.
I dropped my phone, and met Wyatt’s big, warm eyes again.
I should’ve been able to focus on my friend, and the insanity I’d just found out about…
But my body was on fire.
And my mate was the only person who could put it out.
“It’s a problem for tomorrow,” I said.
“Or the next day,” Wyatt agreed.
“Or the day after that.”
He nodded, lowering his face back between my thighs. With the first drag of his tongue, I was completely and utterly focused onusagain.
We would figure out the pack stuff later.
For now, our bond was what mattered.

JADE
Abby,Stella, and their mates had everything taken care of as far as Emmy and Finn’s mating process by the time Wyatt and I emerged from the climax.
None of us thought it was going to go well, but it was going, and there was no way to stop it.
I felt a tiny bit bad for not being there to help from the beginning, but ultimately, I felt too amazing to have much guilt.
Wyatt and I were mates, and it was just plainfun.
We spent the rest of my two weeks off of work watching movies, hiking, and even working in his garage when a woman who needed help with her minivan came by and asked with tears in her eyes.
The way Wyatt agreed without hesitation made my chest burn with pride.
He was a good guy.
A really good guy.
The way he took care of me, spent time with me, and tried to make me happy, was incredible. I felt like a million bucks when I was with him, and tried to make him feel the same way.
