I laugh softly. “I’m sure your lack of preparation did not influence things in the least, but you’re right. I do have a nursery ready. Are you sure you don’t mind combining our lives in my current home? We could move out of both and get something we choose together.”

Bamgin shakes his head. “I think your house is our best option. If we change our minds, we can deal with finding another place down the road. For now, it will be much easier to makearrangements and have some of my belongings moved while we’re traveling.”

I inhale deeply, holding his gaze for a long time. “Shouldn’t this feel more awkward?”

He smiles. “Seems like it, but all I feel is calm with regard to the fact that Margaret belongs to both of us. I’m going to fret and pace and rub my hands together until Dankin operates on her knee, but the rest feels predestined and right.”

I glance toward our sleeping girl again. “Her eyes…”

“Yeah, stunning. The red and yellow flecks make them look orange.”

“Gozanite…” I mutter.

Bamgin thinks for a moment and then smiles. “Not the orange stones, though. The red and the yellow. One of each to represent both of us.”

The visual of our girl with one red and one yellow stone dangling from her nipples fills me with a sense of rightness. “Yes. Exactly perfect.”

Chapter Ten

Margaret

“Hey, Baby girl…”

At the sound of that deep voice, I slowly blink my eyes open. I was having such a strange dream, but now that I’m coming awake, I realize it wasn’t a dream at all.

I’m staring up at Bamgin and shift my attention to my other side to find Nanish. I’m on a bed of some sort. They’re flanking me, standing, each holding one of my hands.

“There’s our girl,” Nanish says.

When I open my mouth to speak, I realize something is preventing me.

Bamgin reaches up to pull the object out of my mouth.

I flush as I remember the pacifier. Have I been sucking on it all this time? How long has it been? I glance around the room. We’re not in Bamgin’s apartment anymore. I think we’re in a doctor’s office.

Bamgin strokes the top of my head, smiling. “You need to wake up for a bit, sleepy girl. Dankin is going to examine you and prepare you for surgery.”

Panic consumes me. My heart beats faster.

Nanish cups my face. “Take a deep breath, Little one. Do you want me to prick your skin?”

I shake my head. I don’t want them influencing me while the doctor examines my leg. I need to make sure I feel confident about his skills.

A door opens, and I flinch.

Another giant Eleadian man steps up beside Nanish. His eyes are friendly, and his demeanor calms me even before he speaks. “Nice to meet you, Margaret. I’m Dankin, the ship doctor.”

Bamgin pats my head. “We haven’t discussed reverence with you yet. Little girls on Eleadia are expected to speak politely to all men. You’ll address Dankin as Sir and be cooperative while he examines you. Understood?”

I stare at Bamgin, blinking. My mouth opens, but nothing comes out. I’m too stunned by this new revelation.

Nanish sets a hand on my sternum, bringing attention to the fact that there’s a soft blanket covering me. Even my arms are underneath. “What happens to naughty Little girls who disobey their Papis?”

I inhale sharply as I shift my attention to him.

His brow lifts.

I clench my butt cheeks together, remembering what happened last time I didn’t do as I was told. My pussy clenches at the same time. I don’t understand my body’s reaction to these two men, especially not with regard to being disciplined. Wetness is leaking out of me, but when I try to squeeze my thighs together, I come up short. Something is between them.
