Heinhaled deeply, and those monstrous eyes snapped to me, their elongated pupils focused on their prey.Theydilated until his eyes were entirely black.Icould feel all that magic burning him up.Hewas like a man who had overindulged in the earth’s pleasures; his mind wasn’t his own.

Iheard his voice not with my ears but with my mind and body as it vibrated through me.Run, little bird.

Agreat shriek shook rocks from the ceiling, andIdove under his chest as dragonfire enveloped whereIhad been standing.Hestruggled to find me asIused his body as my shield, but he swiped massive claws underneath him, and it took all my training to dodge them.Islid into the dirt to avoid another, trying to place my hands over his heart.Hewas moving now, andIhad to keep pace to not get trampled.Ichanged strategies.Idarted out beneath his tail as he tried to locate me.Histail smashed more of the terrain as he went.Hespun his head towards me, jawswide open.

Iwaited as long as possible before launching myself up, one foot boosting me off his nose.Hesnapped his jaws closed and threw his head back, throwing me into the air.Itumbled and landed on one of his great spines; it pierced through my forearm.

Fuck.Thatwas not elegant, but it held me in place asIavoided more snaps from his jaws.Islammed my free hand into his back just above his heart.Iremembered his vision of changing, the flow and raw power he needed.

Theearth was tapped dry; only a trickle of mana remained.Itwas enough.Hescreamed again, andIfelt him shifting, shrinking in on himself.

Thespine in my arm shrank, andIpulled free, willing just the tiniest flow of power over the wound to numb the pain while my body did the rest.

Ilanded on top of him, but he wasn’t fully fae.Therewas no more magic for the earth to give, so his transformation wasn’t complete.Heappeared like he did in my dream; his black wings were splayed under me, and scales covered most of his body.Hislong black horns caught the deep amber light of the smoldering forest where they erupted from his silver hair.

Hepushed up off the ground with clawed hands, andIslid off him.

“Abraxas?”

Herose slowly, his great wings towering over him.Heclutched his face in his clawed hands and then pulled them away, examining the long black talons.

“Abraxas?”Ireached out to clutch his shoulder.Heturned to me, his face soft and confused.

“Tori?”Hissoft gaze fell to my hand, and he reached out to touch me.Then, his claws clamped around my forearm to lift me straight up in the air.Ihissed asIdangled, and he gave me that wicked smile that tore me up inside.

“IthoughtItold you torun.”Ikicked him straight in the gut, and he dropped me.Iran as soon as my feet hit the rocky ground.

Isprinted as fast as my legs could carry me.Iran through what remained of the vegetation of the grotto, crashing into burnt branches and feeling the singe of embers on the soles of my feet.IknewIleft a trail of blood for him to follow.Myheart pounded, and it felt like someone had slid a dagger between my ribs, butIwilled my feet forward.

Idarted behind the smoldering remains of a tree to catch my breath. “Comeout, little bird.Youcan’t hide from me.”Iheard him with just a moment to spare.Iducked down as his claws crashed through the burned trunk, causing it to explode.Irolled away and kept running but dared to look back.Thatlong, slitted pupil tracked me from glowing, golden eyes asItried to dart away.Helunged, and the anticipation fueled me.IknewIhad to make him work just a little bit harder.

Intruth,Ihad been afraid.I’davoided him in my dreams, fearing what might happen again.Thisfire had not only saved him, but it had changed me.Hehad been reborn, but it had burned away the small creature thatIhad once been.I’dchanneled more power than any fae before me and brought him back from the edge of death.Justas his mind had been addled by the power,Iwas sure mine had as well.Irode that high.Ifhe was the last god, thenIhad become the last goddess, and a goddess feared no one.

Ihad felt power flow through me, the power of life itself, and it had felt sublime.Betterthan any fae had any right to feel.Therehad been pain, butAbraxashad long ago shown me that pleasure and pain were intimately connected.Iran from him now, but only so my reward would be even sweeter when he caught me.

Iran, and he pursued.Weboth changed into something wild.Somethingthat had never been chained to civil behaviorsand niceties.Somethingthat was free to act without fear of embarrassment or reprimand.Somethingoutside of control.Somethingthat was both ancient and new.Whenhe finally caught me, nothing was left but the feral creatures that lived inside us.

Heslammed into my back, knocking me to the ground.Ithrew my hands out to prevent my face from being smashed, andIscrambled for purchase.Hegrabbed onto my ankles and calves to haul me to him.Ifreed one leg and slammed it into his side asIrolled over.Ilaunched at him, hands outstretched, knocking him onto his back with his wings pinned beneath him.Iattempted to pin his wrists down as he struggled.Hiseyes still burned that golden yellow, a beacon.

Theyflared as he pushed off his wings, the force knocked me onto my back as he climbed on top of me.Thebite of the rocks against my back mirrored the sensation of his claws raking down my front.Whatlittle remained of my burned clothes were shredded away.Smallred lines bubbled under his touch, butIhardly felt them as my body ached for him.

Ipulled him to me, raking my fae nails down his back, and a sound between a howl and moan escaped from him.Heslammed his mouth onto mine, ferociously devouring me.Ourteeth and tongues clashed in a battle for our lives.Ibit down on his lip, and he hissed, pulling away to latch onto my breasts.Histeeth scraped over the new skin.Ihad to check thatIwasn’t still alight with dragonfire, for every inch of my skin felt raw and scorched.Histouch amplified the sensation, creating a perfect mix of pain and long lingering pleasure.

Hedragged his elongated tongue over my nipples before running it across my throat. “Areyou ready to have me asItruly am, my mate?” he murmured in my ear, his teeth lightly closing on the pointed tip.

Hechuckled, and the vibrations only ignited deep arousal inmy belly.Hiserection pressed against me, hard and pulsing.Therewas more thanIwas used to.Ilooked down between us and saw why.Hewas still the beast, somewhere between fae and dragon and all that came with that.Whathad once been a sizeable but very normal fae cock was now something... different.Twolong, hard cocks, each a deep shade of pink and ribbed from the pointed tip to the base, rubbed against my lower stomach.

Iwas sure my face showed my surprise, andAbraxasleaned in, grabbing the back of my neck with his clawed hand.Hisfree hand snaked up my thigh until those onyx claws slid through my folds to move against my clit.

“You’redrenched, little bird, but will that be enough?”

“You’remine,Abraxas.Giveme all of you.Iwant everything.”

Hisfangs flashed in the dying light of the cave as he carefully pressed his talons against the most sensitive part of me.Ibucked my hips and grabbed his lengths with both of my hands.Hehissed asItightened my hold, feeling their new texture and shape.Theridges slid across my palms, and my stomach contracted asIthought about what they would feel like inside of me.Icontinued to pump them until they leaked all over my stomach, andAbraxas’ claws cut into the ground beside me.

Helooked at me, andIsaw some green return to his eyes. “Tori…”

Isnared his lips in a kiss before promising, “Iwant everything.”
