Thank god they were finally making progress. Maybe we could all watch Clueless together.
“Okay,” Alicia said slowly, thinking about that. “You’re not making me do anything by just telling me how you feel and what you want, doesn’t mean we have to act on it.” Didn’t Lydia do that? She didn’t want to have sex if it would make Alicia uncomfortable, that’s what she was saying… but I guess that was more about Alicia than her.
Lydia didn’t say anything.
“Are you going to tell me how you feel?” Alicia asked after a moment.
“Are you going to tell me how you feel?” Lydia countered.
And then they stopped getting anywhere. They were making progress but still holding stuff back. Alicia left.
Witnessing all that was already awkward as hell, so it wasn’t too bad just standing there like an idiot while Lydia thought whatever Lydia thoughts she was having that were probably too scary for me to even guess. Could have been worse. We could have been in Lydia’s room.
Well, no, they should have been there, but I’m glad there wasn’t some reason we were all in there during that scene. Speaking of scary, that was the only way this could have been worse. Lydia’s room had gotten a lot scarier lately. It always was a little spooky because Lydia lived there but now she had these dolls that I swear were watching me. And there was this poster of two girls kissing…
Lydia went from standing stiff and still to moving closer to me, and I stepped out of the way, happy to not think about the confusing as hell poster as she made an angry noise and left the room.
They didn’t freaking even take the DVD. Fine. I was gonna watch Clueless on my own. They didn’t need to anyway, they were doing a good job of being Clueless on their own. Was that fair or was that mean? They just had an argument in my room, so I figured it was fair.
