For the last two days, the meeting I’d had with Ember had been rattling around in my head. Playing on repeat like an old film reel. The look on her face when I told her it was her father ruining her credit, and possibly her financial life, was heartbreaking.
It was rare that I took on side cases like Embers. I didn’t want to get emotionally involved in things like that, and working with businesses didn’t typically get as emotional. They were business people who looked at the numbers of it all, and that was that.
Keep our secrets safe? We’re happy. Simple.
But this type of case? Not so much.
I closed down my laptop for the night. I’d looked over some add-on’s Julian had emailed me for the club’s website. He, like me, never truly stopped working. So the thoughts and ideas we bounced around never stopped. I loved it.
But I was done for the day, and it was Friday—which had quickly become one of my favorite two days of the week. I had a whole plan for this evening, and I knew it was going to push Rae, but I think she’d enjoy it once she dropped the nerves and trusted me.
Over the last month, we’ve done just about every position, location, and darkness level you could while maintaining our anonymity. I wanted to just drop it and tell her the truth. Fuck, I wanted to just go into her profile and find out who she was already, but I knew once I did that? Once I found out who she was? There would be no going back. She’d be mine, and I’d never let her go.
Pulling out my phone, I brought up our text thread. We’d started giving each other hints at the beginning of the week as to what our plans were. She sucked at it, and always dished out the details beforehand, but me? I was a strong-willed motherfucker, and I dropped bits and pieces all week long to edge her into craziness.
ImVengecock: Are you ready?
I watched as she came online and started typing, already smiling like a dumb high school boy.
Scream-Pies: For what? All you’ve told me is to bring my damn mask and leave my fear at home.
I started laughing because she wasn’t wrong.
ImVengecock: Correct my perfect girl. See you there.
ImVengecock: Oh and last hint. Third floor. Look nice.
She sent me a middle finger emoji, and I locked my phone up. I was going to show her a whole new world tonight.
Walkingthe floor of the open room was like being in another world. When Julian had first shown me around the third floor, all I could think was that I’d never need this room. There was nothing wrong with it, but I just didn’t get off on voyeurism, and that was one of the main reasons for this room.
It was a wide-open space, a long, sleek blacked-out bar on the far left side. The middle of the room stepped down into an array of low-cut booth-type seating that all faced into the center of the room, and the outskirts held the same, but with higher backs. Each booth set big enough to hold between two to four people.
The idea was that the outskirts of the room were reserved for watchers or people who wanted to participate but didn’t want to be the main attraction, while the center of the room was for the people who wanted to be the star—wanted to watch and be watched. The room held an array of people; various ages, men and women, couplings, and all different types of sex acts. Some were just watching, pleasuring themselves, while others were kissing, and more were fully naked and having sweaty, intense intercourse for anyone to see.
It was a jungle of wild passion and opportunity.
The third floor had one rule, and one rule only. If there was a green flag on their booth, you could approach, makecomments, and even ask to join. No flag? Don’t approach and watch from a distance only.
Of course, not everyone was partaking. Some patrons hung out at the bar to chat. Julian kept the room dark enough and the music at a decent enough level that the shows were easy to ignore if you wanted to, but I didn’t believe anyone here reallywantedto ignore it.
If you wanted a true bar, there were cheaper places to be than Silk and Spice. No, people came here for a reason—to partake in the sins the rest of the world looked down upon, and that was exactly why I was here tonight.
I walked the floor, slowly letting my gaze flow around the room. The fun part about this evening, and most Fridays, was that the third floor partook in masked nights. Rae didn’t have to fret, because tonight? Everyone was unknown and under the cover of a disguise.
I ordered my one drink for the evening and a second for her, as I watched the people move around the room, my jacket felt like too much clothing as I started to think of what was to come.
An arm slid up my own, causing me to almost drop the drinks in my hands.
“Are you looking for someone?” a tall blonde purred. Her dark, painted lips and round eyes did nothing for me.
“I’m sorry, he’s not,” another voice sounded from behind her, and as my gaze followed the sound, I couldn’t help but smile as I saw her. The blonde disappeared, and honestly, I couldn’t even recall what she’d said when she left.
Rae was in a pair of heels tonight, tall strappy gold stilettos with a deep forest-green dress that ended mid-thigh. Her hair was half up with a matching gold clip, and the rest was down over her shoulders in waves. Her Poison Ivy mask matched it all perfectly.
“I wonder if Julian would mind if I took you right here on the bar, little flame, because you look good enough to devour for breakfast, lunch, and dinner,” I said once she took her place in front of me.
We were leaned against the bar, the drinks now placed beside us on the bar-top.
