The dirty talk didn’t stop. Nor did the sex. We rested. We fucked. We rested some more.

By morning, I was sticky and cum covered and… happy.

SAGE

I wokeup to an empty bed, but the scent of coffee and bacon. I picked Buck’s flannel up off the floor, went to the bathroom to pee and try and clean up a little, then went downstairs. He was in front of the stove in only a pair of gray sweatpants, spatula in hand.

“Hi,” I said, going to the coffeemaker like there was a magnet pulling me.

He grinned, looked me over from head to toe–my hair was still in the braid from yesterday and probably looked like I got in a fight with a chicken. His shirt was soft and dropped to my knees. “I hope youdon’t mind,” I whispered, for some reason a little shy.

I had his cum slowly slipping down my thighs and I was shy. Go figure.

He grabbed a mug from the cabinet over the coffeemaker and poured me a cup. “I don’t know how you take it,” he said.

“Milk,” I said.

He went to grab it from the fridge as the bacon sizzled in the pan.

My cell rang from my bag, which I’d left on the counter the night before.

I set my mug down so he could add the milk and went to retrieve it.

I saw that it was a New York area code and sighed.

“What’s the matter?” Buck asked, as the phone continued to ring.

“I think it’s my ex. He keeps calling and texting.”

Buck set the milk on the counter and came over. “Answer it.”

His voice was far from the deep and gentle tone he used with me.

I met his eyes for a second, then swiped the screen and put the phone to my ear.

“Hello?”

“Sage. Shit, you answered.” ItwasJackson, and he sounded frantic.

Buck took the phone from me, hit the speaker button, then set it on the counter in front of us.

“What do you want, Jackson? Why the hell do you keep calling me?” I asked.

“My bag. I want my bag back.”

I rolled my eyes. He’d been pestering me all this time for his bag. “Let the bag go, okay? Buy yourself another.”

“There’s something in there I need.”

“I dumped everything out in a trash can outside your building.”

“What? Youbitch. You have no idea what you’ve done. They’re going to–”

“Jackson, is it?” Buck said, cutting Jackson off.

“You with someone, Sage?” Jackson asked.
