The Lost One’s Book 2

Chapter One

“Come on beautiful, open it!” Kai exclaims excitedly, bouncing up and down on the couch next to me.

I can’t help but chuckle as I stare at the envelope that holds my G.E.D results. A lot is riding on this little white envelope and that makes me way more nervous than I would be normally if these were normal circumstances. We need to get to the training academy, my gifts need unbinding, the guys supernatural sides need unlocking and Levi needs to get there as soon as possible since his demon has decided to somehow make an appearance. Something that is still baffling all three of my father’s a few weeks later.

Ideally they wanted to get us to the academy quicker but the human (that feels so damn weird to say) schooling system is slow as fuck, so it took a while before I could take the test. If the results in this envelope are good then we will be leaving for the training academy tomorrow afternoon. Our bags are all packed and the flights have been booked.

Far too presumptuous if you ask me and it makes me even more nervous.

It’s like tempting fate as far as I’m concerned.

Knot hops up onto my lap dislodging Kai who chuckles before she gently grips the envelope with her teeth and tugs it lightly as if to say come on, get it over with, open the damn thing.

I chuckle at her antics and aware that all of the guys eyes are on me, even though they’re pretending to be doing other things, I slowly open the envelope and pull out the papers inside, reading them carefully.

“I did it!” I grin a massive sigh of relief leaving me.

“Congratulations!” Jax says leaning over the back of the couch and kissing me, making the sparks hum happily.

Now that we’ve been around each other continuously for a couple of weeks the sparks have settled and we no longer have the overwhelming, not in control of our own actions, reaction like wehad at first.

They all kiss me as they congratulate me.

“Should we be concerned that you sound so relived?” Levi asks his eyebrow raising. “You told us you had it in the bag.” He chuckles, his eyes flash the red of his demon eyes for a second before turning back.

I love it when his demon side comes out to play. People keep telling me that I should be cautious and wary at least. He’s my Levi though, one of my bonded soulmates, he would never hurt me and I could never be wary of him.

I actually can’t wait to see his fully shifted demon form. From what I’ve seen so far he’s going to look breath taking. I shake my head trying dislodge the thoughts and try to remember what it was that he asked me before I got distracted thinking about his demon form.

“I did but I was still nervous. It’s one thing knowing that I could pass my G.E.D if I wanted to, it’s a completely different thing to actually do it.” I explain.

“I get that, Titch.” Maverick says kissing me on my forehead on the way to put groceries in the kitchen.

“We need to celebrate!” Hunter suggests.

“We’re leaving tomorrow, what did you have in mind?” Kai asks his head tilted adorably.

“I don’t know, I thought of celebrating that’s about as far as I got,” he shrugs in reply and I chuckle.

“I’ve got loads of packing still left to do. By that I mean I didn’t want to test fate by assuming I’d pass and haven’t packed anything yet.” I grimace slightly and Kai bursts out laughing as Levi, Mr. Organised, looks at me with a mixture of amusement and exasperation.

“Maybe you should do that now before we celebrate?” He suggests.

“Nah I’ll do it in the morning. I’m tired now. Plus it’s still irritating me slightly that my dad’s won’t tell us anything else about the school. I’m not even sure what to pack.” I finish.

“Remember they said it was less like a school, we’d only have a few lessons on what supernatural we will become and something like protocols, I think he said.” Jax says.

“He was stupidly vague about that last lesson too,” Hunter grunts.

“He was pretty damn clear that it would be a training facility though, so I’ve made sure that I’ve packed loads of training gear.” Mav adds.

“I think it might be a good idea to make sure we’re armed too.” Levi suddenly suggests his eyes flickering between red and green.
