She moans into the chaise, “Fuck, no.”

I chuckle. “That’s my girl.” Grabbing her hips, I thrust deep into her. She’s so tight, so wet for me, and every slam of my hips against her rear earns me another moan from her soft lips. “You’re all mine, Princess,” I growl, feeling the pressure build once again. “And don’t you dare ever forget it.”

My seed erupts from my tip, and I yank her backwards by her hair. Ruby screams, rolling her hips. I feel her walls clench around me as I pump hard and fast.

Fuck the herb. I hope tonight gets pregnant. I’d kill a hundred men to see her belly swollen with my baby.

“Stars, I love you.” The words just slip out of me.

Beneath me, Ruby tenses. I’m sure she heard, but I couldn’t care less if this is too fast for her. It’s the truth. And when better to tell her than when she’s still murmuring in pleasure from her orgasm and pumped full of my seed.

As I remove myself, a little drips out, but I push it back with a finger. When Ruby moans again I slap her on the rear.

“That’s all for you, sweetheart,” I pant. “Don’t let it go to waste.”

She says something, but it’s so slurred I can barely hear her.

Leaning forward, I move closer to her lips. “What was that, Princess?”

She smiles back at me with closed eyes. “That was… so wonderful…” Her voice trails off as sleep overcomes her.

Chuckling quietly, I stand back up. “Leaving me to clean up the mess, hmm?” I tease, but I don’t mind. Seeing her like thisis payment enough – her face still red from pleasure and sweat glistening over her tanned skin.

Fuck, I really do love her.

It didn’t take too long to untie Ruby and help her redress into her dance clothes. The fact that she was barely awake helped speed things along. It was like dressing a doll.

Once she’s decent, I dress myself then scoop her up into my arms. The palace is deadly quiet since it’s so late. Even the guards outside her room are all passed out, fast asleep on the floor with their backs against the wall. If I was leaving Ruby here, I’d be concerned.

But she only needs to spend one more night in this place.

It’s certain now. Tomorrow, Orion dies, and I’m taking Amaryllis home with me, whether she likes it or not. She will learn to love me, or I’ll die trying.

Slipping inside her bedchamber, I kick the door shut and carry her over to the bed.

“One more night alone, sweetheart,” I whisper, lowering her onto the sheets. “One more night then it’s you and me, forever. And I’ll make my home real comfortable for you.”

Ruby stirs, murmuring something, but I silence her with a kiss on her forehead.

“Sweet dreams, Ruby,” I say, stepping back from the bed.

With a reluctant last look, I turn towards the window and begin to head out.One more night.

“Kasimir?”

I pause. Glancing back, I see Ruby sitting up in bed as she rubs her eyes.

“You should go back to sleep,” I tell her quietly.

“Did you carry me up here?” she croaks. “What about the guards?”

I chuckle. “Nobody saw us, and the guards are all asleep. As you should be. Goodnight, Amaryllis.” I spin back towards the window, making it less than a few steps before I’m stopped in my tracks.

“Stay.”

The word makes my heart stutter. Swallowing, I turn to face her.

“Please,” she continues, voice delicate. “I just… I don’t know when I’ll see you again, and I don’t want to say goodbye just yet.”
