I roll my eyes but comply then help him ease himself onto the soft mattress, mindful of the bruises that mar his body. There’s a vulnerability in his eyes that I’ve never seen before, and it tugs at something deep within me.

“Thank you, Anna,” he murmurs, his voice rough with exhaustion. “For everything.”

“Of course,” I reply, unable to suppress the warmth that blooms in my chest. I brush a strand of hair off his forehead, my fingers lingering for just a moment.

Aksel’s gorgeous eyes lock onto mine, and an electric current seems to pass between us. Time seems to slow as he reaches up, grasping my wrist and pulling me closer. His lips graze mine, hesitant at first, but quickly growing more insistent.

“Anna,” he breathes into my mouth, his voice low and thick with desire. “I need you.”

“Are you sure?” I ask, even as I lean into him. “You’re injured, and we have so much to deal with right now…”

“All I could think about while I was gone was you. Ineedyou,” he counters, his eyes dark and intense.

His words strike a chord within me, echoing my own thoughts from earlier.

“Alright,” I acquiesce, my resolve crumbling. “Just be careful with your wounds.”

Aksel smiles with a genuine, warm expression that sends shivers down my spine. “I promise.”

I lean in and kiss him. He only lets me be gentle for a second before he takes over the kiss with demanding lips.

I barely register the sound of the door opening, so focused on Aksel’s lips against mine. But as the scent of smokey chocolate and buttered popcorn drifts into the room, I pull away from him, my eyes snapping to the doorway.

Griffyn and Felix stand there.

“We didn’t want to be apart,” Griffyn tells us.

A second later, Blaze is at the door too.

Griffyn, Felix, and Blaze all stand there, their expressions a mix of concern and curiosity.

“Can we join?” Felix asks, his hazel green eyes flicking between Aksel and me.

Aksel pulls me closer, his arm wrapped protectively around my waist. “Fine.”

“Should we grab Rion?” I ask.

“Rion probably isn’t ready for something with all of us yet. He’s still adjusting and he needs to heal too,” Felix adds lightly, a playful grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.

“True,” I agree.

“Everyone, be gentle,” I instruct, glancing at Aksel’s wounds, still fresh and raw. “We don’t want to hurt him any further.”

Aksel growls. “I am not weak.”

My eyes roll automatically. I guess he won’t be as vulnerable in front of the guys. I can feel his pain through the bond, but if he wants to ignore it then I’ll let him.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be gentle with you sweet Akshole,” Griffyn tries to run a hand down Aksel’s face but Aksel shoots his darkness out and knocks him over.

I cut them off by carefully straddling Aksel, positioning myself above his cock. I slowly lower myself onto him, mindful of the bruises that mar his body. He hisses in a breath, but the pleasure in his eyes is unmistakable.

“The rest of you should strip,” I demand.

Griffyn moves behind me and presses against my spine so I’m lying down on Aksel’s chest. I feel the tip of his erection pressing against my ass, and I can’t help but shiver in anticipation. He leans forward to lick my ear.

“Aksel, is this too much?” I whisper.

Aksel moves his hand and smacks my ass so hard it’ll bruise. “Stop, Willson. I’ll tell you if it’s too much. I’m a big boy, I can handle having my mate ride my cock while her other mate takes her ass.”
