“I can’t believe you have to ask,” Colette huffed. “Aren’t you upset at all that Cade and Jaspar died?”
“They’re not dead,” the smug AI stated.
“What?” Rather than Beta replying, she heard an odd noise that sounded like?—
“Anyone know how to quiet a crying baby?” Cade announced as he entered the bridge, cradling a squalling child to his chest.
“OH MY GOD! You’re alive.” Colette never felt such relief and joy than at the sight of the blue hunks.
Cade thrust the baby at Ouellet. “I think it is angry.”
“Poor thing.” The doctor crooned as she rocked the child in her arms.
Unable to contain her relief, Collette flung herself at Jaspar and gave him a big kiss.
A kiss he returned, which included his hands on her ass.
“I’m thinking we should give them some privacy before the clothes come off,” Ouellet stated.
“I will escort you,” Cade stated looking dejected—and neglected.
Before Cade could leave, Colette whirled and grabbed him in a passionate embrace.
“And there is my cue,” the doctor murmured, which caused Colette to suddenly realize what she’d done. The rule of juggling lovers? Do not kiss the men you’d slept with in front of each other.
As the doctor left with the child, Colette’s cheeks heated, and she muttered, “Sorry about that. I’m just so glad you’re both alive.”
“So are we,” Cade drawled.
“It was close, though,” Jaspar added.
“But you succeeded. Not only did you get rid of the Krampus monsters, you saved a stolen child.”
A nonchalant Cade shrugged, but Jaspar said, “The rescue was Cade’s idea.”
“Which you aided in after you ensured the Boulmas would self-destruct.” Cade wouldn’t take all the credit.
“Sounds like you both deserve hero medals.”
“We’d rather settle for you,” Cade stated.
“I agree. You’re the only prize we need,” Jaspar agreed.
We? Colette blinked as she tried to digest what they seemed to be implying. “Hold on a second. You seem to be hinting at us, uh, er…” She couldn’t say it aloud, even as the very thought had her wetting her panties.
“Jaspar and I were talking, and we are both quite attracted to you. Now we realize a triad might not be acceptable to you, and if that’s the case, then we will respect?—”
“I would totally be into a threesome!” she exclaimed. She blushed hotly. “It’s long been a fantasy of mine.”
Jaspar held out his hand. “Shall we make it a reality?”
“Now?” Her heart stopped for a second before racing madly.
“Unless you have other plans?” Cade arched a brow.
“I’m free. It’s Christmas Eve, and I don’t have to be in the office until after New Year’s. But what about the doctor and the baby?”
Beta replied. “I’ve already beamed the child back to its parents by tracing the energy signature of where it was taken from. As for Dr. Ouellet, she asked if I could return her to the base so she could inform the general that the threat is gone.”
