Perian nodded, excited just by the thought of it.
“We’ll see if they’re busy at dinner, shall we?”
Perian nodded again. “Yes, please.”
On the way to the dining hall, he tried to tell himself to calm down and not get ahead of himself. They had to make it through the meal first—and Molun and Arvus had to accept. (Although, to be perfectly honest, Perian wasn’t really concerned about that. Still, though, they could be legitimately busy. Maybe they already had fun plans for the evening.)
The dining hall was loud and boisterous as usual with so many Warriors and Mage Warriors talking and eating. Molun and Arvus were already there, sitting with the usual group, and there was enough space for Perian and Brannal to squish in beside them.
Perian ended up next to Molun, and because he couldn’t get the idea out of his head now that Brannal had brought it up, he leaned into the other man.
“Tonight, can Brannal and I show you one of the gifts that he got me?”
Molun’s eyes sparked with interest. “Is it orange and silky?”
Perian laughed. “That actually wasn’t the one I was thinking of, but it probably could be.”
Wearing his robeandlooking at the book with the three of them would probably be even better than just the book, right?
Molun looked even more intrigued. “Definitely.”
“Shouldn’t we ask Arvus?”
“He’ll be just as intrigued as I am, trust me.”
And that was that, apparently—which made Perian feel like the entire dinner was foreplay. They had to calmly eat their food, but Perian could feel that buzz of excitement and arousal in the air, and he didn’t think it was just him. There seemed to be a little more brushing of arms and legs and fingers against him than normal, or maybe he was just imagining it.
(He was sandwiched between Molun and Brannal. He was probably not imagining it.)
Perian had no idea what he ate, but by the time dinner was over, his plate was clear. He felt like he was trapped in a foggy haze of lust—in the most pleasurable sort of way.
Then they werefinallystanding up, and Perian said goodnight to everyone hurriedly. Brannal slipped their arms together, thankfully, and Perian tried to focus a little bit.
“Is it all right if we come visit?” Perian asked, looking at Arvus, since he hadn’t actually been in on the conversation.
Arvus looked amused. “Of course. Especially if thinking about visiting is responsible for putting you in this state.”
Perian was definitely all hot and bothered.
“It seems like a really good idea,” he offered.
“We all agree,” Molun said cheerfully. “We’ll see you in a few minutes, right? Should I change into something slinky and blue?”
Perian nodded happily.
They split off and got ready, and it was only as Perian had slipped out of his clothes and was going for the robe that it occurred to him to check with Brannal.
“I think you said this was supposed to be for you and me.”
Brannal shook his head. “I might not prefer you wearing it in front of everyone, but I would very much enjoy sharing it with those two.”
He looked earnest, so Perian pulled on the robe, shivering happily as it slid along his skin. Then he pulled on sleep trousers.
Brannal raised an eyebrow.
“I’ve experienced that corridor when everyone else is there. I can be a little discreet, sometimes.”
He would prefer not to know what Cormal would do or say if he saw him. He hadn’t actually encountered Cormal in this hall very often since those early days, andhe wasn’t actually sure where his rooms were. Did they not have a similar schedule? Did Cormal not even have a room nearby but he’d swung by frequently because Brannal lived here?
