The orgasm coursing through every cell of my body slowly releases its all-consuming hold on me. My toes uncurl and I pull my nails from the perch they dug into Alex’s back. We’re both panting as we stare into each other’s eyes. Emotion washes over me, a euphoric happiness mixed with the desire to cry, a sensation I’m unfamiliar with. Before I have time to process what it means, a swirling inferno lights inside me. My five bonds zing to life, crackling with an intensity, glowing brightly as they braid together.
Magic has a firm grip on my body, restraining me from making any kind of movement. A pressure builds ever higher before a pulse bursts from within my chest, sending an explosion of magic outward into the world. A click can be felt as the anchor is firmly locked in place once more. A weight lifts and my body is filled with relief.
Alex and I share a brief smile before his lips press to mine and he softly caresses my cheek. This kiss lacks all of the lust and frenzy of our previous kisses just a few minutes ago. This one is filled with love and a promise of what our future will hold. My hands just begin another round of exploration, heading toward his cock once more to heat things up for another round, when the door bursts open, banging against the wall.
Klaus and Derrick spill into the room and rush over to the bed. “Are you okay? We’ve been trying to get the door open for the last thirty minutes and when we felt the pulse of magic…” Derrick’s words are rushed and they cut off as he reaches the bed and grips my face, turning it every which way to make sure I’m unharmed.
The worry in his gaze warms me and I smile to reassure him. “I’m more than okay. I feel amazing. It was just the final bond sliding into place and the anchor being restored.” I grasp the collar of his t-shirt and pull him down to press a kiss on his lips. They’re cooler than Alex’s lips, which are heated and swollen from all the friction they’ve been experiencing. Derrick sighs against my lips and I shiver with the breeze it sends over my warm skin.
“About damn time you two sealed the bond. Welcome to the inner circle, brother.” Klaus claps Alex on the back, and I offer him a smile over Derrick’s shoulder. Alex rolls to the side and my two mates who just entered the room take in the sight of me lying naked in front of them. They both show an appreciative gleam in their eyes and I’m suddenly flooded with not only my own desire, but theirs too, as it comes down the bond.
I’m starting to believe I’ve become a nympho with the amount of lust for my mates I’ve had coursing through my blood. I can’t get enough of them. I pull Derrick closer and wrap both arms around him, then flip my body. With an oomph, I land on top of him after making him fall on the bed. As he laughs, I give him a smirk and reach for Klaus.
I close my eyes as Klaus doesn’t waste a moment in holding my face and pressing a soft kiss on my lips. “Good morning, Sunshine.” He deepens our kiss and I take the opportunity to run my hands over Derrick’s chest. I wish he wasn’t wearing a shirt... at least he takes advantage of my lack of clothing as his hands wrap around my breasts. His thumbs tweak my sensitive nipples and it sends a twinge to my swollen clit.
Suddenly, a stinging slap is delivered to my ass and a startled squeal escapes me. From the angle, I know it’s not Klaus; Derrick’s hands are accounted for; and Alex is laying back with his hands behind his head. That leaves only one person who loves spanking me, if last night was hint enough. “Marcus! You had me all last night! Wait your turn!” I admonish him.
I move in to resume kissing Klaus, but the voice I hear isn’t the one I expect to reply. “Dang, bro. She’s already confusing us.” My eyes go wide with William’s teasing accusation. Without pausing, I turn around to find them. My hand rubs the sting away and my thighs try to clench together, but Derrick’s body between them puts a stop to my attempt at calming my girl down.
Fuck. Why is it such a turn on to be spanked? “You didn’t spank me when we sealed the bond.” My voice has become thicker as I address William. I bite my bottom lip while enjoying the view of my twins. All five of my mates are in the room with me, and four of them are wearing entirely too much clothing.
Alex’s voice is a murmured whisper when he says, “Note to self, my Angelreallylikes being spanked.”
William crawls up the bed and I roll off Derrick so I can say good morning to him. He instantly cages me in and hovers right above my lips like a cruel tease. “That’s because I had other things on my mind. Just because I didn’t spank you then, doesn’t mean I haven’t imagined doing it about a million times.” His hand travels up my collarbone and wraps around my neck. I can’t stop my pussy from flooding with the action.
“Time to get ready for lunch, Babe,” Marcus says, interrupting my newly renewed lust. I’m insatiable right now, but thankfully, none of my mates are complaining. Lunch can wait. I want my morning kiss from William. I lean up to catch his lips with mine and tempt him into a shared orgasm while I’m at it. Catching the glint in my eye, William pulls away just as I try to snare his lips in my trap.
His teasing smile makes me pout, and Alex leans in to whisper in my ear, “Angel, I’m sure we can arrange for dessert to be delivered after lunch since they’re all so insistent on being on time.” I can always count on Alex being on board with any naughty games I come up with. He steals a quick peck before jumping off the bed. Running a hand over my face, I try to clear my mind of all my lustful desires. Lunch with my mom will be difficult if I keep picturing my men naked.
Chapter 11
Klaus
Cecily is an absolute beauty with her flushed cheeks, glowing eyes, and coy smile. She’s been floating on clouds since we left our room for lunch, and I can’t bring myself to glance away from her for longer than necessary.
Lunch is filled with casual chit-chat, although most of the conversation doesn’t start until after we finish eating. When we were introduced to her parents yesterday, they quickly requested that we call them Rebecca and Joseph. It feels odd calling the former queen by her first name, but I’m not willing to refuse her request.
Her parents tell us all about how they’ve been in hiding with Cecily’s grandparents in Iceland, of all places. The anguish in their expressions as they describe everything they went through when Cecily disappeared is heartbreaking. Her mother completely breaks down when describing the conflict she experienced in listening to the Fates, and ending the search for my mate. Cecily and William share their stories next, and once the tears are dried, we’re able to move onto other subjects.
“Your mates are well trained in military tactics, Cecily. I was impressed with the conversation I had with them yesterday, and again, in today’s training session. We were able to test the skills of those who volunteered to join your Queen’s Guard, and set up a schedule for daily training. William shared with us about the network he formed of soldiers ready for your call, which he put out, knowing things with Silas are coming to a head.” Cecily perks up with the praise her father shows for her mates.
I’ve always known Marcus had a solid hold on everything it takes to be a soldier. He was trained by his father to take over the North Alpha Pack, a pack which typically acts as protection for our people as a whole. As part of his training, he’s infiltrated several branches of the human military services. From what I was able to pick up on, William also has a soldier’s background. Just because he gave appearances of being imprisoned, doesn’t mean he wasn’t hard at work, making sure he was prepared to protect Cecily when the day arrived for a showdown with Silas.
“Speaking of, didn’t you say we’d have a report by this morning of what was going on with Silas?” Cecily asks William.
He nods before responding to her, “I received a report this morning, but it was after we already left for training, and I knew you needed your sleep.” All of us try to hide some form of a smile knowing exactly why she needed rest. I’m not sure any of us escaped hearing what went on in that room last night. “Thea, and the men I sent with her, arrived safely. As of yet, word hasn’t traveled to Silas. We have our people in position though, to learn about every move he makes. We just need to decide exactly what we want to do with him.” He scowls with contempt.
“Sounds to me he needs to be put on trial for his crimes against our people,” Cecily’s mother speaks up as she takes a sip of her tea.
“Is there a reason why we haven’t just gone to take him into custody?” Derrick asks the group.
Cecily’s father, William, and Marcus all speak at the same time, each saying yes in various ways. William picks up the conversation to explain why. “While Silas might not remember Cecily, or his failed attempt to sever the anchor to our power, he hasn’t given up his quest to achieve his goal. Silas’ thoughts are deranged, he’s lost his ability to rationalize reality and has convinced himself his own version of events is the truth. To top it off, he comes across as charismatic and convinces others to believe the way he does.
“Silas has searched high and low for every shifter who’s lost touch with their magic, and has convinced them it was stolen by power-hungry monsters. Now some of these shifters lost their magic through misuse before Cecily entered her soul form. I’m talking about magic lost when it was used in some evil fashion. Those are the men who’ve been with Silas the longest and don’t give two shits about him being crazy. The only thing they care about are his promises to find a way to get their magic back. He’s convinced them by giving them a concoction with shifter blood in it, which then allows them to use magic for a short time. Of course he withholds the information about his secret ingredient keeping them on the hook.” William keeps up with his explanation, and I watch as Cecily and Alex exchange flirtatious glances.
“With Cecily being gone, and the consequences of shifters everywhere losing touch with their magic, Silas found a whole new pool of those he could convince to come to his side. He’s worked endlessly to fill the land surrounding him with those who he convinced the missing Royals went into hiding after stealing their magic. He made sure to surround himself with the ones who would die to see him right an imaginary wrong.” Alex picks up Cecily’s left hand and threads their fingers as he traces circles over her mark.
“If we tried to go and take him into our custody, he would have thousands of individuals ready to put their lives on the line to protect him. Many of whom are innocent, only able to be tricked because of the consequences Silas caused.” William trails off on his explanation, shaking his head with disgust.
