Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC) is a United States Army-run military hospital that is located on Fort Bragg near Fayetteville, North Carolina. The facility is named for Medal of Honor recipient Bryant H. Womack. It contains 138 beds, with about 66,000 patients visiting the hospital's emergency department, and more than 11,000 patients are admitted yearly. Its physicians perform about 2,700 inpatient and 7,400 outpatient surgeries each year. The Medical Center serves more than 160,000 eligible beneficiaries in the region, the largest beneficiary population in the Army.
The American College of Surgeons accredits WAMC as a Level III trauma center as able to provide complex healthcare delivery to Soldiers and family members of the home of the Airborne & Special Operations.
On June 9, 2017, Womack Army Medical Center earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for hospitalaccreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.

FOB Arian/ Bagram Airfield
Forward Operating Base Arian(2005-2013) was aforward operating baseoperated by theInternational Security Assistance Force(ISAF). It was originally Combat Post Arian, but in 2011 rapidly expanded to forward operating base size. Located inGhazni Province, Afghanistan, this 20 acre post was formerly occupied by Polish forces.
In Afghanistan, Arian refers to a hardy people, the Ariani, who lived in the vicinity of Nevada, like Ghazni province and much of central Asia in pre-Islamic times.

Bagram Airfield
Bagram Airfield-BAF, also known asBagram Air Base, is located in theParwan ProvinceofAfghanistan. It is under theAfghan Ministry of Defense. Theair basehas twoconcreterunways. The air base also has at least three large hangars, a control tower, numerous support buildings, and various housing areas. There are also more than 32 acres of ramp space and five aircraft dispersal areas, with over 110revetments.
Bagram Airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1950s. Bagram Air Base was formerly the largestU.S. military basein Afghanistan,staffed by the455th Air Expeditionary Wingof theU.S. Air Force, along with rotating units of the U.S. and coalition forces. It was expanded and modernized by the Americans.There is also a hospital with 50 beds, three operating theaters and a modern dental clinic.
On 15 August 2021, the entire base fell toTalibanrebel forces after the NATO-trainedAfghan National Armyhad surrendered.
