I gave it.

And I didn’t stop until I was certain he’d taken it all, his icy gaze glistening with restraint and underlined in lazy triumph.

He’d come with me.

His leathery scent was a heady texture in the air, one that mingled far too well with cherry blossoms.

My knees shook, my body finally coming to rest.

I released him with a shove against the shoulder, disgusted and frustrated and way too sated to do a damn thing about it. He chuckled, still kneeling, his pride tangible.

However, it wasn’t his reaction that latched onto my attention and held me captive, but the faint gasp from the doorway.

And the overpowering scent of cherry blossoms.

Layla.

Her wide eyes went from me to Novak and back, her pink cheeks and parted lips telling me she’d seen more than me shoving him away.

She’d seen us come.

Together.

Fuck.

16

Layla

Holy.Shit.

None of my erotic imaginings could have prepared me for the sight of Novak on his knees with Auric releasing all of his violence down his throat. He hadn’t seen me in the doorway, but Novak had.

And he’d held my gaze with each swallow. Each pump of his hand. Each spurt of pleasure.

I shivered.

He still watched me now, his startling eyes radiating satisfaction and amusement. He’d held me captive with those icy irises, forcing me to watch every sensual reaction of his climax.

Auric finally found me in the doorway, his expression shifting from violent pleasure to just plain violence as he released a curse under his breath.

Novak merely grinned, then drew the back of his thumb along his bottom lip before effortlessly rising to his feet. He started to shower as Auric grabbed our cell’s only towel.

My throat went dry as Novak began lathering the soap along his torso, his irises seeming to freeze me in place.

I couldn’t stop staring.

Ineededto stop staring.

But, golden gates, that’d been unlike anything I’d ever experienced. It had my thighs clenching with inexplicable need, something I knew Novak could smell because he made a show of inhaling deeply.

Auric cursed again, stepping in front of me. “Turn. Around.”

Two words.

Snapped under his breath.

And underlined in a fury that made my blood run cold.
