I gasped. “Does that make you king, my lord?”

“Absolutely,” Lord Zebulon murmured, his teeth teasing my lower lip.

Zane chuckled against my inner thigh. “Spread your legs wider, my queen. I intend to feast.”

So I did.

And as their mouths worshipped me to completion, I realized I’d finally found the cure for my control problem. It came in the form of a deadly Demonic Lordand a sexy-as-sin incubus prince.

I couldn’t complain. In fact, I considered myself one hell of a lucky succubus.

The two loves of my life had finally realized we belonged together.

And this, right here, was our perfect version of a happily-ever-after.

Several Weeks Later

My fucking mistakes continue to haunt me.First Amarella tried to frame Guinevere for succubus crimes. And now my damn daughter had found a way out of Ashmedai’s prison.Unbelievable.

But rather than charge me with locating my errant child, Ashmedai assigned the case to Xai and Evangeline. I hadn’t understood why until visiting his realm and seeing the pretty little Nephilim at his side.

He’d found his perfect match.

And he’d orchestrated this whole elaborate ruse as a way to mandate her stay.

Fucking brilliant, really.

Except the plan went to shit when Evangeline was kidnapped. Now Xai was ready to kill, and the way he punched Ashmedai a few hours ago suggested he would win if the two came to real blows.

Fortunately, his plan to locate Evangeline seemed to have placated the fallen angel for now.

“He’s going to kill you when he realizes you released Kalida,” I said in passing. Xai had already left with Tax and Remy to search a certain section of hell, leaving me alone with Ashmedai. Trudy had stalked off to her quarters—which were naturally located within Ashmedai’s rooms—with a flip of her long dark hair. She was going to give the Archdemon hell. I was almost sad to miss it.

“I didn’t release her,” Ashmedai drawled. “I just didn’t interfere when I felt the magical disturbance.”

“Because you wanted an excuse to take Trudy.”

“It worked in my favor, yes.” He looked at me, his violet gaze flickering with knowledge. “But to be clear, I would have taken her regardless.”

“Of course,” I replied. “Will my daughter be killed this time?” I asked, changing the subject.

“Yes.”

“Good.” She deserved her death. I was also tired of having to visit annually and watching him torture her for seven Hell years. “Is there anything else you need from me?” I knew there had to be something because he’d held me back here for a reason. Just like he’d made me kneel for a good several minutes before letting me stand. All a power play to enforce my submission in whatever task he had waiting for me.

“As a matter of fact, yes,” he murmured. “Remember Princess Kayla?”

“Yes.”

“She’s going to send you a present soon. I need you to ensure that present is delivered to Bael.”

I arched a brow. “What kind of a present?”

His lips curled. “The kind that doesn’t want to be a present.”

“I see.” I smoothed a hand over my tie. “Consider it done.”

He nodded. “Don’t fail me, Zebulon.”
