“Not all of them,” Leela replied, her fingers trailing down his arm to his hand. “There are a few in my head that I could share…” She trailed off, but the rest of her statement thrummed between them.
Brazil. Because she possessed those memories in full.
Or we could re-create them, she added in a mental whisper meant only for him.
He laced his fingers through hers, his opposite arm encircling her waist. He’d already prepaid for the room. Mrs. Spriggs would notice he hadn’t touched it, but she wouldn’t ask any questions. Which meant they had nothing else left to explore here.
And everything to explore in Brazil.
“I want to know every detail, Lee,” he murmured, his lips going to her ear. “Intimately.”
If they were going to distract themselves, they were going to do it properly.
“Mist us, vixen.” He tightened his grip. “Show me everything.”
Chapter25
Leela
The moon reflectedoff the water, creating an almost mystical gleam as the waves rolled up onto the sand.
Leela laced her fingers through Balthazar’s, telling him about how he’d approached her on this beach. They’d shared a drink—some fruity concoction he’d ordered—before engaging in a verbal sparring match layered in innuendos.
“You were very confident,” she told him, leading him to the place he’d kissed her. “I asked if your approach was to ask a few innocent questions, feign interest, and use the information later to turn up the charm.”
“And I told you I don’t have an approach,” he replied, stepping around her to take hold of her hip and pause their walk as he faced her.
“You remember?”
He shook his head, his thick, dark hair falling over his forehead in an artful manner. “No, I don’t remember. I just know what I’d say.” His opposite hand curled around the back of her neck, his thumb brushing her pulse. “I would tell you that I don’t need an approach.”
“Yeah?” she asked, repeating her words from that day on purpose, curious to see if he’d respond similarly. “And why is that?”
The palm on her hip slid to her ass as he pulled her tight against him. “Because I don’t need an approach, sweetheart,” he murmured, replying with almost the exact same phrase as that day.
His gaze smoldered knowingly, telling her he already knew what had come next.
And he didn’t disappoint, his mouth taking hers with a boldness that rivaled that day, shooting fresh sparks of heat through her veins.
She moaned against him, unabashedly returning the embrace as his tongue slowly took control of her mouth.
Not rushed.
Not overindulgent.
But the kiss of a patient man ensuring his lover enjoyed every second of the embrace.
He took his time memorizing her every reaction, his thumb resting against her neck to read the thrum of her pulse.
She positively melted against him, just like she had that day.
Then she told him in her mind what had happened next, how he’d taken her to another part of the beach where Luc had been playing with maple body shots.
Leela had taken one off a female—the name one she no longer remembered, as it hadn’t been important—before telling Balthazar to find her later.
He’d fulfilled her request, capturing her attention inside the hotel at the bar.You asked if I wanted to invite the other man to play with us later, then proceeded to devour me in front of him.
Balthazar smiled against her mouth. “Like this?” he asked before deepening their kiss to a searing level of madness that left her dizzy in his arms.
