“Tell me you didn’t bring a knife in here,” I reply, tensing. I’mveryaware of his sadistic penchants. And Clove is not ready for that side yet, evidenced by the way she’s now tensed against me.

Or maybe that’s because I stopped purring.

Volt takes over the rumbling vibration, his finger still tracing her spine. “I left the knives in the kitchen.”

I relax a bit. “Good.”

“But I want to see her play with your knot. Maybe even test her gag reflex, too.” He waggles his brows.

I almost roll my eyes. His kink pushes a myriad of boundaries, something Clove is going to have to learn to accommodate.

Because there will be no other women now.

Just her.

The mere notion of bedding anyone other than our intended is abhorrent. There is just no one else in this world who will compare now. Not even another Omega.

It’s amazing how I went from considering Clove’s potential toknowingshe belonged to us. It happened the moment she shifted back into human form.

One inhale and I was done.

Her scent claimed me instantly.

My wolf recognized her. My soul demanded I take her. And my heart started beating a new rhythm that exists only for her.

“Go on, sweetling,” Volt urges. “His sweats aren’t even tied. Just reach in and have a feel.”

CAIUS

“V…” I’m not even sure what I want to say. He won’t listen, anyway. So instead I focus on Clove and start purring again as I give into the urge to touch her. I cup her cheek. “You’re doing just fine. Ignore him.”

“Yes, ignore me,” he agrees. “And focus on that throbbing shaft in his pants instead. I can smell his need, sweets. Just like I can scent your interest. Give in and play. We don’t mind.”

Clove swallows as I sigh. He won’t stop. It’s something I’ve learned to just endure. “We’ve known each other all our lives,” I confide in Clove as I release her cheek. “Volt never lies. He never exaggerates. And he always follows through on his word.”

“Threats,” Volt corrects. “I always follow through on mythreats.”

“Those, too,” I concede.

He smiles. “Caius is the wordy one of the clan. And apparently he’s a closet romantic, too.”

“Fuck you,” I retort.

“No, I’m trying to convince her to fuckyou,” he says. “With her mouth.”

I just shake my head and tuck my hands behind my head again. Clove watches me with a heated expression, her wolf staring at me again through her eyes. I allow her to see mine in return, which causes her lips to part in surprise.

“He’s hungry,” I say, unapologetic. “He wants to taste his intended mate.”

“Yes and Caius is torturing the poor beast by forcing him to wait,” Volt adds. “But that’s his schtick. It’s what makes him hard.”

“My version of a blade.” One I’ll use on myself as well as Clove. Because I love a good game of orgasm denial. “Control and self-restraint are my weapons in bed.”

Clove’s eyes widen.

“Thinking you prefer the food now?” I tease, purring with the words. “We can save this game for dessert, if you prefer. Or even breakfast tomorrow.” I really won’t mind. She’s been through a lot. I can wait for her to be ready.
