I want another lesson,I whispered into his mind.

Name it,he replied, his tongue still sliding purposefully against mine.

Teach me how you fuck,I told him.Teach me how to please you.

It was a dangerous proposition, one that would undoubtedly destroy every conception I maintained in regard to Az and sex.

But that was okay.

Because I wanted to know him. To know this. To knowus.

To know what we could be together.

Show me what you need,I added.Show me what it means to be yours.

CHAPTER33

TYPHOS

SEVERAL MINUTES EARLIER

Ajaxand I are on our way, my love,Melek murmured into my mind.

Hmm,I hummed back. Was the visit to Zenaida your idea or Ajax’s idea?I didn’t bother hiding that I knew where they’d been. I’d felt their returning presence the moment they’d entered my realm.

Keeping tabs on me?Melek teased.

Always. It was an honest reply, one I didn’t feel the need to hide. Melek was mine. Of course, I paid attention to his disappearances and locations.

Just like I knew he kept visiting Camillia in the Midnight Fae Realm.

Although, I hadn’t mentioned my knowledge of it to him.

If he wanted to play with his intended, then so be it. So long as he remained safe, I wouldn’t involve myself in his choices.

Even if I did disagree with many of them.

Melek’s amusement warmed my mind, his mental voice otherwise quiet. Because apparently he wasn’t going to reply to my initial question regarding Zenaida.

Forever playing games,I sighed back at him.

You love them almost as much as you love me.

Hmm,I hummed again as I teleported myself to the throne room. I’d chosen this location for today’s meeting with a specific purpose in mind.

Most of my constituents didn’t even know I had a throne room. But there was one—a very unused and dusty one—that I used when meeting with my lieutenants and other royal fae.

Unlike most throne rooms, this one wasn’t about power.

It was about equality.

A place where I invited those I admired and respected to meet with me.

Everyone allowed into this room had a throne to sit upon, not just me. Which I supposed made it resemble more of a glorified conference area, except there was no table. Just an ornate floor made of fire and obsidian rock.

Ajax had been invited to meet with me in this room before, which meant he should hear my message loud and clear.

Because here, he would sit at my side.
