Me: Fuck you. I’m turning off my phone and will turn it back on tomorrow when we head back.
Skip: Plan on at least a week.
I dropped my head and shook it. I didn’t want to leave her again.
I turned off my phone and pushed it into my back pocket. I looked out over the water and for the first time in the last four years, something other than the Marine Corps filled my heart. I was ready to walk away from the only thing I’d known and loved and spend the rest of my life with her.
I felt her behind me even before she said a word.
I turned and looked up at my angel. I laughed when I saw she had on one of my T-shirts, but my heart began pumping faster. Something about her in my shirt did crazy shit to me.
“God, please tell me you are naked underneath my shirt.”
She bit down on her lower lip and nodded her head and dropped to her knees. “You don’t mind, do you?”
I looked over her shoulder to check down the beach. I hadn’t seen anyone walking by since I’d been sitting here. She must have known what I was doing, because she looked over my shoulder.
She licked her lips as she looked down at my lips. She slowly shook her head and said, “You do things to me that drive my body crazy. Do you know that?”
I slowly smiled as I reached my hand up the shirt and she let out a gasp when I touched her stomach. “Do I now?”
She nodded her head and the innocent look on her face had me falling in love with her more…if that was even possible.
“I could say the same thing. You’ve completely changed my life, Azurdee. You’ve made me re-think everything.”
Her eyes widened in surprise and her mouth dropped open slightly before she smiled and leaned down to kiss me. I grabbed her and pulled her down and laid her on the sand as she let out a small cry.
“I can’t believe how much I love you,” I said as her eyes darkened. “We’ve come pretty far since that day I stood on Scott and Jessie’s porch and saw the most beautiful creature ever.”
“Lark,” she whispered.
“Please don’t ever leave me.”
Her eyes filled with tears as she said, “Never.”
I smiled as I slowly moved my eyes over her face, taking in every single detail. “I’m going to make love to you now, Azurdee.”
She sucked in a breath of air as I stood up and quickly stripped out of my clothes. She sat up and looked up and down the beach. When she looked back at me she let out a moan and quickly stood up. I grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder as she screamed out and I took off for the water. The moment I ran in I knew I was making a mistake.
Shit! Shit!
I dropped her down into the water and she went completely under and jumped up screaming.
“Oh my God! It’s freezing!”
I laughed as she began jumping up and down yelling out how cold the water was. The moment I saw her hard nipples through my T-shirt I forgot about how cold the water was and I grabbed her.
“God, Azurdee…your body is amazing.”
She wrapped her legs around me and said, “Amazingly cold.”
I lifted her and slowly pushed into her. The friction of the water and how cold it was made it feel ten times better.
“Why does it keep getting better?” she asked, as she held onto me tighter.
“I promise you baby, it will always be like this.”
As I moved in and out of her, she buried her face into my neck and I could almost feel her squeezing down on me.
“Say my name, baby…please say my name,” I said.
“Michael…oh God. I’m going to come,” she whispered as she pulled back and slammed her lips to mine. It didn’t take long before I was coming as well. I held onto her tightly and prayed we could just stay like this forever.
“You’re leaving again, aren’t you?” she said as she kept her face buried into my neck.
I swallowed hard and said, “Yes.”
“Michael?”
Azurdee pulled back and looked at me with a shocked look on her face. She mouthed who is that?
I slowly sank further into the water to cover up her body. You could totally see right through the T-shirt she had on. Azurdee pushed away from me as I turned around and saw Lindsay.
“Lindsay?”
Lindsay smiled and nodded her head. Fuck me. Her family had owned the beach house next to ours since I could remember. The last time I was here we had hooked up and fucked in her hot tub…twice.
Lindsay put her finger in her mouth and said, “Wow. It’s so good to see you here. You brought company this time? She up for a little bit of fun?”
Oh shit.
I looked at Azurdee as her mouth dropped open. She frowned and said, “So are we ever going to go anywhere and not run into someone you’ve fucked?”
The tone in her voice caught me off guard and before I could say anything she began walking out of the water. I stood there and watched her get out and walk right past Lindsay and reach down for a towel.
“Hi! I’m Lindsay. You are?”
Azurdee wrapped the towel around her and turned and looked at me without saying a word.
“Um…can you hand me a towel so I can get out?”
Lindsay started laughing. “Please. It’s not like I haven’t seen it before.”
Fuck! Fuck! Son of a bitching fuck!
“Lindsay, Azurdee is my girlfriend.”
Lindsay spun around and slammed her hands to her mouth. “Oh God. I’m so sorry, it’s just…well, he’s never had a girlfriend and…I feel like a total ass now. I’m so very sorry.”
Azurdee picked up a towel and walked toward the water and threw it. She turned and began walking back up to the house. I took advantage of Lindsay walking after Azurdee as I got out of the water and ran up and collected my clothes and phone and then ran after her.
“Really, it was a few years ago and it meant nothing. Please just let me apologize,” Lindsay kept saying as Azurdee ran up the stairs and into the house.
I walked up to Lindsay and said, “Hey, um…well um…yeah. I’ll see you around.” She grabbed my arm and asked, “She wouldn’t be interested in a threesome, would she?”
My mouth dropped open and I said, “What the fuck? No. Neither she nor I would be interested in that.”
I quickly turned and made my way back into the house. I shut the sliding glass door and turned to see Azurdee sitting on the s
ofa. She was wrapped in the towel and had her knees pulled to her chest.
“I know you have a past and I accept that, but it’s just hard to share a moment like that and then have some stranger…”
Her voice cracked and I about fell to my knees. I closed my eyes and prayed to God to let me take away her pain.
I walked over to her and dropped to my knees. “I’m so sorry, mi amor. I wish I could shield you from everything, but I can’t because I do have a past.” I swallowed hard and decided to just be honest with her.
“I’ve been with a lot of women, and I know you know that already, but you have to believe me when I say none of it meant anything to me. You’re my life. You’re my everything and I would do anything right now to go back and change things…but I can’t.”
She let out a sob and looked at me. “I don’t want you to change anything, what happened before me was before me, but I can’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt my heart to think about all the…all the…”
I reached up and grabbed the back of her neck and brought her lips to mine. “You are all that matters to me. I forgot about every girl I’d ever been with the moment you gave yourself to me. I swear to you, Azurdee. You’re my everything. I love you and you are the only woman I’ve ever loved like this. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Her eyes widened and she whispered, “What?”
I smiled and pushed her hair back and away from her face. “That’s why I brought you here.”
A confused look washed over her face. “I don’t understand. What are you saying, Lark?”
“Let’s take a hot shower and get some dinner and I’ll explain everything. Sound good?”
She seemed like she wanted to argue with me and I knew I had just dropped a bomb on her.
“I promise I’ll explain everything after dinner.”
She nodded and said, “Okay.” I took her hand in mine and led her to the master bedroom and then into the shower where we both took a long hot shower together.
I got out of the shower first and told her to take her time while I got dressed. I quickly dried off and got dressed. I made my way downstairs where I took the bottle out of my bag and set it down on the kitchen island.
