“Let me have you, Shiloh. Let me do it. I would be so blasted good to you.”
He didn’t need to tell me. He’d already shown me in dozens of tiny ways. This man who’d never been chosen by anyone or for anything besides this exile, had already shown me a hundred times over that he was worthy.
He didn’t need to beg me.
I knew that now. My choice was already made.
I came. And I held fast to him, because that’s what he’d told me to do this morning.
And that’s what I fucking wanted.
I felt his cock throb and shudder against my swollen clit, and then unleash itself upon me. Spurt after spurt of semen coated my stomach, my breasts. Some of it even reached my neck and the underside of my chin. Rivven breathed like he’d just run all the way across the world to reach me, his great chest gulping for air between broken-sounding moans.
“Rivven,” I whimpered. I was going to say more. Say that I wanted him. That I’d already chosen him.
But I was cut off – and both of us startled to the point of flinching – by the sound of a door slamming shut.
We cleaned up and got dressed with frantic movements. My heart thudded in my throat at the thought of someone coming into the kitchen and finding us almost entirely naked together.
Not that I thought I needed to be ashamed of what we’d done. Not at all.
But it would be embarrassing. And I didn’t want to hurt the feelings of Xennet or Dorn by having either of them walk in on us. They deserved a proper, face-to-face explanation. A conversation.
But when we exited the kitchen, the place was empty.
Which had to mean…
Someone had come inside.
Hadheard us.
And had immediately turned around and walked right back out the door.

SHILOH
Despite the cold air, I was sweating in my jacket and boots when I hurled myself outside, followed closely by Rivven. I breathed a sigh of relief – but only a small one – when I saw that it was Tasha and Warden Tenn out there, and not Warden Hallum and the others.
God, please, let it just have been Tasha who came in a second ago…
“Heard all that racket,” the warden said, immediately kicking that hope in the face.
“Tenn!” Tasha hissed. “That is not the way to begin this conversation!”
“Why not?” he asked, seeming completely unfazed by…all of this, to be honest. Meanwhile, I felt like fire ants were crawling all over my skin.He heard us. Someone kill me now.
“Because!” Tasha cried. “These things require delicacy!”
“I’m afraid I’m fresh out of that,” he said with a smirk at his wife before capturing Rivven and me in the orange warmth of his gaze. “Might as well get to the heart of the matter. We heard you in there.”
Tasha slapped her mitten covered hand to her forehead and sighed.
“Sorry,” she said. “You two deserve privacy. And we absolutely did not mean to intrude. We were finished with the slicer, and we were just coming inside, and…”
“And we heard all the racket.”
“Stop calling it racket!” Tasha chastised him, sounding pained. “That is very rude!”
