As we near the alcove, he pins me against the back wall, leaning into me so that I have to lift my head to look at him. His breath is warm and smells of cinnamon and cloves as it fans over me.

“I’ve been dreaming about kissing you again. I need to kiss you again, Brin.”

OH EM GEE.

My lips part and I stand on my tiptoes, pressing my lips to his. It’s instantly smoldering and hot, laced with desire and passion. Everything about this kiss checks all the boxes I’ve always hoped for: a hot guy, in the library, against the poetry section.

I’m paralyzed with pleasure as he runs his hand down my head, softly stroking my hair, but then slipping them into my loose strands and adding pressure to the base of my neck. There’s a low hum of electricity sparking between us as I part my lips wider, allowing his tongue to slip into my mouth and duel with mine. The kiss consumes me and undresses me from the inside out.

Preston’s mouth leaves my lips and he works his way down to the hollow of my throat, as I tip my head back to give him access. He sucks on my collarbone and then places open mouth kisses against my naked shoulder, his finger slipping underneath the thin strap of my tank.

I’m flooded with wetness between my legs, made even damper as he shoves his thigh in to open me wider. I’m practically grinding against his swollen erection, seeking friction for this aching burn that surges with white-hot sparks.

Goosebumps have formed over my skin as his tongue sweeps over it with probing flicks. My body is lit up like a lamp post and I’ve never experienced this intensity before.

The words he murmurs next bring me to a decision. I’m ready. I want to sleep with Preston. I want to give him everything and more.

“I’m sorry I was MIA the last two days. But I was constantly thinking about you. Can’t get you out of my head.”

I sigh against his shoulder. “I was worried I scared you off.”

He drags his head away and gazes down at me with a penetrating stare.

“Never,” he emphasizes with a gentle kiss. “The only thing that scares me is the way I feel about you. It’s crazy how intense it is. Do you feel it too?”

“Yes.” It’s barely a whisper.

Preston clears his throat and steps back from me. He brushes his hand over the front of his pants and it catches my attention and I giggle.

“Oh right. Oopsie. Maybe we should go take care of that.”

His eyes find mine with a near panicked look. “Here?”

Shaking my head, I grab his hand, leading the way back to our table.

“Your place.Now.”
