Her lips part. “I just want all of you.”

Chapter 7

EvanAnn

I tug at my skirt as I walk up the sidewalk to Mia’s house. Damon dropped me off so she can give me a ride to the party. We decided it would be a bad idea for me to show up with them.

Especially at Olivia’s house. She’s obsessed with Damon. My stomach twists. And, while we want to get under Chase’s skin, it’s too soon for me to be seen with other guys. He and I just broke up last night.

I texted Chase and told him while I was willing to talk, I’d meet him at the party.

The breeze tickles my skin as I reach Mia’s door and knock. This skirt is shorter than my old uniform skirts and the crop top leaves my midriff bare. The whole outfit barely covers me. I don’t know how comfortable I’ll be at the party, but the heat in the Devil’s trio’s gazes when they looked at me boosted my confidence. I just need to be careful how I sit.

I don’t mind flashing my panties at my guys, but I don’t need to be the talk of the school.

When Mia’s aunt answers the door and lets me in, she shows me to Mia’s bedroom. Mia’s told me she needs to decorate it still, but I’m surprised at how barren it is. A blank slate and completely lacking a personality, unlike the girl occupying it.

“I’m almost ready.” She leans close to the mirror, putting on her eyeliner. “Finishing touches.”

“Sorry I wasn’t able to get coffee with you earlier. I fell asleep.” I didn’t do much makeup. Just a little concealer to hide the darkness under my eyes.

She turns and her eyes widen as they take in my outfit. Her smile morphs into a grin. “Where have you been hiding, Miss Evan?”

My cheeks heat as I slide a hand down the black skirt. “Chase has been cheating on me, and he tried to leave me in the woods last night.”

“Fuck. So we’re after revenge then.” She purses her lips and nods. “I like it. But we’ll definitely need to work on your makeup and hair first.”

She turns and begins to pull stuff out of her makeup kit. “Sit and tell me all about it. I’m so sorry. He’s an asshole, and we hate him. Do you know who he’s been with?”

“Abby, his old girlfriend. Another girl at a different party, but I don’t know who. For all I know, he’s been through the whole school while we’ve been dating.” Anger chases through my words. I look down at my hands, because if I’m going to sell this, I need to be willing to take him back.

Damon wants me to get back with Chase, but that’s going to make me look like a fool. What will Mia think of me?

He’s been cheating this whole time. What would make me think he’s going to change now? Except I’m not going to let him back easily and I’m not really taking him back.

“What an asshole.” She tips my chin up and considers me for a moment. Her blue eyes roaming over my face. “I know just the thing that will get back at him.”

“Makeup?”

She chuckles. “Yes, looking fabulous will make him regret ever stepping out on you, but you should totally treat him with his own medicine.”

She begins to apply the makeup.

“His own medicine?”

“Find a guy and fuck his brains out. That will show Chase exactly how it feels.” Mia smirks. “I’d suggest cutting his balls off, but he is one of your leads for the play, so probably not the best timing.”

“I don’t know if I’m that kind of girl.” Though there’s a part of me that is. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve been doing with the Devil’s trio. Every minute of it just makes me want more. Frankly, the anticipation of what might happen after the party is more of an incentive than the actual party.

She tips my face to the side. “We’re all that kind of girl deep down.” She meets my eyes. “I know you’re sweet, or you wouldn’t put up with me. But I think you deserve better than some asshole who fucks anything that moves.”

Which is exactly why I wanted to break up with him last weekend when I found him cheating on me. Maybe I need to prepare Mia for me going back to Chase. “We did have fun together occasionally.”

Her lips flatten and she gives me a look that saysreally?I keep my expression hopeful.

“Close your eyes.” She works on my eyeliner. “I mean, it’s up to you if you want to take him back but make him work for it. Don’t give him an easy way to reclaim you. Let’s make him see he’s not the only one you could be with. Give you some leverage if you really want to forgive him.”

I open my eyes, and she checks her work.
