Luke parks the car. “Don’t get grounded, princess.”

“Don’t keep me out late on a school night, Death,” I shoot back, unable to resist.

His cool eyes meet mine. I’m still not sure what to make of what happened in this car, so I drop my gaze to my hands in my lap.

“I don’t think my mom knows what grounding is,” I admit softly as I undo my seatbelt and start to open the door.

Luke grabs my ponytail, not as rough as usual, but I still feel a slight bite of pain. He turns me to face him and takes my lips. I wish I could stop responding to him, but my will isn’t that strong.

When he breaks the kiss, he smirks. “Tomorrow night you party with the gods.”

CHAPTER 46

Infiltration

Harper

“Were you out with those guys?” Mom asks as soon as I close the door. She has her arms crossed as she leans against the island.

“Yes.” I can just imagine all the marks on my neck tell her exactly what I was doing tonight.

“Is this going to be an every night thing? Do I need to worry about you?” Mom’s gaze travels over my clothes.

Even knowing she can’t tell I’m not wearing panties, I blush and worry my whole appearance might be a bit rumpled from all the heavy petting. What can I say? One of them is my boyfriend? Not really. They make me do things? Yeah, that’d be bad. They own me? Parental red flag. They just want to fuck me all year? Even bigger red flag.

“We’re…just hanging out. Taking things slowly.” I stumble over the words. If having felt four different cocks between my legs while they took turns kissing my body is slow. Not to mention dry humping one of them in his car until we both came on the way home.

Yup, real fucking slow.

Mom’s eyes narrow, but she sighs and her arms drop. “Just be careful, Harper.”

“I will.” I tug at the hem of my skirt. My gaze lifts to my mom’s tired face. As much as I want to run to my bedroom and shower, I pause and say, “Are you okay, Mom?”

She gives me a weary smile. “Just a long day at work. I’m sure things will calm down soon.”

“Do you want me to fix you something to eat?” I move toward the fridge, intending to pull out some lettuce and veggies for a salad.

“I’m fine, Harper. You should head to bed. You have school in the morning.” Mom turns and picks up a plate to carry over to the sink.

I want to talk to her about the guys. I want her read on this situation. Maybe she can figure out a way to help me out of this. But as she turns away, her shoulders slump with exhaustion, and I know I can’t put any more burdens on her. Besides, she might decide to get other adults involved, and even though she would think she’s helping me, that would only be bad for me.

“Good night.”

“Good night, sweetie.”

I make my way to my room and sit at my desk. No one told me to turn on my webcam tonight, but I can’t help opening my laptop and starting mine, curious to see if they’re there too.

Caden is in his room on his bed, looking over a notebook. Jack is working on something, maybe homework, at his desk. Eli is reading a book in bed. They glance my way when my video starts.

“You okay, kitten?” Eli asks.

“I didn’t get in trouble if that’s what you’re asking.” I slump back in my chair. Who knows what kind of punishment they might give me foractuallygetting grounded.

Jack quirks an eyebrow. “No, sweetheart, we want to make sure you’re okay.”

I glance at Caden, and his eyes are trained on me. The guys seem to actually care about me a little. Maybe they worry about pushing their plaything too far. The memory of what Luke and I did in his car floods my mind. My cheeks heat as I drop my eyes from theirs.

Do I actually feel guilty? Like I cheated somehow? Fuck that.
