I took in her sexy cuteness, and I knew then I loved her. I loved her so much I wanted to spend the rest of my life making her happy in every way possible.
I’d spend my days making her days great, because that’s all that mattered to me now- her happiness.
“I love you, Crimson. I know it’s crazy and fast, but it’s true. I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Crimson beamed, her eyes lighting up and filling with tears. “I love you too, Ridge. So much. There’s no one else I’d rather spend my life with than you.”
EPILOGUE
Crimson
Six months later
Ridge and I became inseparable.I spent all of my time with him, eventually annoying my friends and my sister, who threatened to drag me away from him. But when they learned I wasn’t leaving his side, they stopped bugging me and started being happy for me instead.
I went to my apartment when I needed something, but the rest of the time I spent with Ridge at his cabin. We spent our Christmas together and met each other’s families and friends over the new year.
As soon as the lease on my apartment ended, I moved into Ridge’s cabin.
While he spent his days landscaping, I worked on my online business, spending hours expanding the platform. I worked hard on my advertising and marketing strategies, my sales growing steadily.
I also built a website for Ridge’s landscaping/plowing business, and he doubled the number of clients, keeping him busy.
We naturally fell into our life together, like two people always meant to be together. We just needed to find each other.
As the summer rolled around, we spent more time in our backyard, inviting our friends over for cookouts. “I think it’s time to install a pool. What do you think?” Ridge said one day while we ate dinner outside.
I nodded eagerly. “Oh! A pool. That would be fun.”
“I thought so, too. I love the hot tub, but sometimes you just want to dive into a cool body of water.”
“Nothing beats it.”
“There is one thing I can think of that beats it.”
I met Ridge’s eyes, the slitted deep green irises revealing exactly what I already knew- he was getting turned on. “Sex?”
“Close.”
“No way, it isn’t sex. You’re a guy.” I grabbed the ketchup and squirted it all over my fries, drenching them in deliciousness.
When I looked up again, Ridge wasn’t in his seat across from me at the table.
He was on bended knee in front of me, holding out a box with a huge diamond ring nestled inside.
I gasped, my hand flying to my mouth, the ketchup bottle clattering to the ground.
“Making you my wife sure beats it any day. Crimson, I love you more than life itself. More than the damn air I breathe. Please make me the happiest man in the world and marry me.”
“Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes!” I cried, and we both stood up at the same time, jumping into one another’s arms.
Ridge lifted me off the ground and spun me around, both of us crying and cheering. When he placed me down, he took my left hand and slipped the ring on my finger.
“Wow, baby, you look so fucking good with that diamond on your finger. Wife. You’re going to be mywife.I love you so fucking much.” Ridge said through his happy tears.
I grabbed his face with my hands. “My husband, my husband, my husband.” I said on repeat, unable to believe it. I looked at my ring, my hands shaking as I realized. I was all his, and he was all mine.
Forever as one.
